If you're talking formally, the Lds has been largely AWOL -- grassroots troop-wise -- from the formal pro-life movement...and the Lds church allows for abortions for reasons of incest, rape, health of the Mom, if the abortionist says so, and if the Mormon god says so (via prayer)
Same-sex marriage wise, they got behind two ballot initiatives in CA...But that was just ONE state (out of dozens where SSM has been fought)...in an 8-yr period...
If you're talking informally...I don't think telling family members that they are "gods in embryo" -- entities beyond the human race -- is "edifying"...I don't telling family members that their "elder spirit brother" from some pre-existent world that they can't remember was Lucifer...is edifying...
Nor do I think their telling that if you marry more than one spouse in the temple "for eternity" that you'll become eternal polygamists is edifying.
This letter is from credible pro-life, pro-family conservatives, unlike many here who call themselves pro-life and pro-family but are working diligently to keep Obama in office.

That has become true of the GOP too, there is no reason they should have thrown up Mitt Romney where there were better and actual conservative choices.
