I knew when I heard the question being asked that it’d be a negative for Obama, no matter how he answered it. Answer it with a simple defense of the 2nd Amendment, and he loses a lot of votes from his base; answer it as he did, and he loses a lot of indies that might have gone for him and pisses off a lot of indies who might otherwise have stayed home.

Like, should a medical profession interrogate me about whether I have any firearms in my house, instead of telling them to go fuch themselves, I can say, “With a question like that, sounds to me like you must be seriously hoplophobic.
