MIAMI – U.S. Secret Service agent Aaron Francis Engler was found early Friday morning passed out on the sidewalk near the intersection of Brickell Avenue and 7th after the president had left the area.

According to the arrest report, officers were in the area on an unrelated call when they noticed Engler passed out. When the officers checked on the man he grew combative and started to fight with officers, according to the police report.

There’s a lot more here than meets the eye.

The officers then took Engler to the ground and handcuffed him. Once secured, sources said the officers went through Engler’s pockets and discovered his Secret Service identification.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. /s Somebody needs to take a good hard look at the SS and get rid of the bad apples - they're ruining the whole barrel.

I can understand why a SS agent would drink himself in to oblivion if he was part of the Obama detail.

To have a daily up close and personal view of the utter failure that is our president would without a doubt drive a patriotic citizen to total despair.

I just barely hang on to my hope for this nation and all I do is read the news reports.

This is the new SS since Hussein cleaned house.

Anyone hired after 2008 needs to go.

There’s a man who leads a life of danger
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger
With every move he makes another chance he takes
Odds are he won’t live to see tomorrow

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Beware of pretty faces that you find
A pretty face can hide an evil mind
Ah, be careful what you say
Or you’ll give yourself away
Odds are you won’t live to see tomorrow

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Swingin’ on the Riviera one day
And then layin’ in the Bombay alley next day
Oh no, you let the wrong word slip
While kissing persuasive lips
The odds are you won’t live to see tomorrow

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Secret agent man

Exactly. Presidents can bring in some of their own guys, and starting with Bill Clinton that was ratcheted up. Clinton brought in Dixie Mafia mobsters and Arkansas State Police.

And Obama wanted more black guys, so he brought in a bunch of mobsters from Chicago.

W never cleaned the clintonoids out of the FBI or the CIA, and I'll bet the same was true of the SS. And Obama has vastly added to their numbers.

I doubt whether Romney will do it, but somebody needs to close down the useless agencies, like the Department of Ed and the Energy Department, and clean out the corrupted ones, like the CIA, FBI, State Department, and so on.

It won't be easy, because the government unions and the media will kick and scream the entire way. That's why I doubt that Romney will do what really needs to be done. No Republican has done so since Woodrow Wilson and FDR started socializing the government.

You think the Secret Service might have a wee problem with low morale, just maybe?

Well, there goes his career right down the drain.

How can you be charged with "resisting arrest without violence"?

He ended up being taken down to the ground. SOMEBODY had to use a form of violence in a take-down....hmmmm.

Maybe a little "professional courtesy" here?

He’s lucky he didn’t get his face eaten by a cannibal. This was Miami, remember, and the cannibal attack was only a couple of miles to the north.

It’s ok. The agent was watching the debate and playing a drinking game. Unfortunately for him, he had to take a drink everytime Plugs smiled.

Engler was charged with two misdemeanors, disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence,

resisting arrest without violence?
