The October 3 debate ought to have been Obama's easiest to win. Although the economy is in ghastly shape, Obama's Marxist-lite rhetoric panders to the envy and greed of millions of Americans. The Democrat campaign bet heavily upon painting Romney as a rich investor with rich pals who has no idea how ordinary Americans live. Blaming misery on the successful has been the Democrat playbook since FDR (despite the fact that FDR, JFK, Al Gore, and John Kerry were and are all multi-millionaires).
Polls suggested that this ploy was working again. It is not. The debate showed just how indefensible the left, as the malefactor of great government wealth (to put a twist of Teddy Roosevelt's famous slogan), really is to ordinary people. While there were reasons to hope that Romney could outperform Obama in this first debate -- Romney is much smarter than Obama; Romney has actually faced fighting opponents in many campaigns; and the promises of Obama in 2008 have failed so badly -- what Romney did was actually expose the emptiness and hopelessness of the left's economic program.
If nothing else, the buzz about how poorly Obama performed last Wednesday will interest viewers who might not have otherwise turned in to future debates. The solid Romney performance will enthuse Republicans and dishearten Democrats. The Democrat ticket could turn things around in the remaining three debates -- but, in fact, things will get progressively worse for Obama.
Consider what will happen on October 11. Joe Biden, the 69-year-old gaffe-prone politician, whose benefit to Democrats has been that he makes Obama look smart, will face off against the very smart, very fit 42-year-old Paul Ryan. Romney set the tone:....

So what happened at the debate? Maybe Ohaha was off his meds---- looking on the floor for his Xanax. Maybe he just got flustered----thinking David Axelrod had screwed-up and had sent him to the wrong venue? Ohaha sure looked like he didn't want to be there.
More likely, deep in their dark inner sanctums, Team Obama came to believe their own hype. They were so certain Obama was The One and Romney was the dribbling idiot they had dreamed up.....who never even hugged his trashman.
Too bad, the braindead Obamatons didn’t count on how politically nimble, on-point, fact-filled and tactically clever Romney could be in a debate.......up against a sitting president who morphed into a smirking Hush Puppy.
Team Obama thought their wet dreams about Romney were real and that cool, calm Obama would destroy him in a debate. Huge miscalculation----one The Team won’t make again.....but the damage is already done.
Romney isn’t the same candidate he was before Wed's debate. He’s more credible, more electable, more presidential — and far more of a threat to the Obama strategy.......and is surging ahead at Mach One speed in key states.

EXPOSED 2008 candidate Obama calculatedly talked about bipartisanship and moderation....said he wanted to be another "Reagan" ......... but once in office, Obama's true colors showed---he supported and pushed radically liberal policies on an unsuspecting electorate. That electorate now knows they were duped into supporting a wolf in sheep's clothing.
But I think people forget that Romney did his homework in practicing for the first debate, and you KNOW Romney has already done a number of simulated townhall debates where every questioner--including the moderator--was openly hostile against him. This could end up boding less well for Obama in the next debate than people think.

That’s what I’m thinking. In the first debate, Buckwheat came across as sheepish, hesitant and mushy. I’m betting that his advisors are telling him to be aggressive and fanatical. In the next debate, he’ll look like screaming Bolshevik and a fascist delivering a speech at Nuremburg, and the leftists will love it.
That may actually not play well in much of the country because it makes Obama sound like a raving lunatic compared to the "controlled" Romney.
