Gov. Jerry Brown ordered state smog regulators Sunday to allow winter-blend gasoline to be sold in California earlier than usual to help drive prices down. Winter-blend gas typically isn’t sold until after October 31. Few refineries outside the state are currently making summer-blend gas, putting the pressure on already-taxed California manufacturers. In some locations, fuming motorists paid $5 or more per gallon while station owners had to shut down pumps in others.

How about not blocking the oil fields, or stopping these idiot blends altogether, or resigning.

Those fumes may explode against 0bama. Liberals never understand the consequences of their stupid regulations.

You mean he can just order the refineries to ignore the law?

Who pays the fines, or do they just shut down the refineries later?

Moon Beam is screwing up. Barry’s turds in the state controlled “media” have said recently that “americans” love high gas prices and they aren’t even on the “americans’” election issues radar.

Use Moonbeam’s head for a drill bit.

He has “ordered” the CA clean air commission to release the “winter” blend. It is solely their decision and may just tell Brown to pound sand.

Why doesn’t Moonbeam just go to a gas station and scream “gas prices go down!” at the pumps? It would make as much sense as what he’s usually done in his political career.

I agree with you, I think Brown is doing this as a premptive strike to attempt to stop the Romney Campaign from raising this as an issue. People should be outraged that the radical liberals think that we are this easy to be manipulated. This a “let them eat cake” moment, a short term fix for a problem that THEY created. It’s an outrage, and Romney ought to slam them over the head with this, short term fix, or no short term fix.

Governor Brown, if you want to fix this, then eliminate the “custom blending” of CA gas.

Use the same blend as everyone.

Simple.

For all the talk about “Big Oil” profits, these folks don’t realize that Taxes take the largest share!

Maybe someday, voters will realize the futility of electing people who know nothing of business, yet make decisions crucial to business success.

Nah.

start with resignation....then go join a monastic order and hit the road for a decade of contemplation....just a suggestion for Jerry Brown.

He started the slam in the debate. I loved the line about the taxbreaks for the evil oil companies were a fraction of 0bama's billions to failed solar and green energy. There is a target rich environment.

They (people in Cal) don’t like the high gas prices yet will overwhelmingly vote for O in Nov??? Better put solar panels on the top of their cars.

Of course they would NEVER lower the gasoline tax to bring prices down. That would be blasphemous.

Better yet, start driving solar powered cars and ignore fossil fuels altogether. Problem solved.

Consider that this would increase demand for the ‘winter blend’ fuel and therefor raise gas prices in other states.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Board rejected Brown’s request- to keep from hurting Obama’s chances in say, Colorado.

Maybe a majority of Californians would rather have Obama than have cheaper gas prices.

I am surprised he did not order the CA AG to sue Exxon instead.

Usually these Progressives have no clue how a market works.
