Surrounded by whooping Republicans and suddenly unfavorable data, chief Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod called in the media cavalry today.
And several reporters on the 11:15 a.m. phone conference promptly offered questions that bordered on advice.
Axe, Im not sure you can hear me, David, said NBCs Andrea Mitchell, when she was invited to ask a question Oct. 4.
We are going to hold Gov. Romney accountable for the things he said last night as I hope you will make him justify those claims, because we need a honest and a genuine and realistic plan to move forward as a country not just a bunch of lines designed to get you through a debate.
Thanks very much for doing this everyone, said the Washington Posts Scott WIlson when he was invited to ask a question.
Im wondering whether the president, whether you have rethought the strategy of not bringing up either womens issues, or the 47 percent or some of the other issues that have worked so well for you in your campaign advertising and in your stump speech?
I understand that there are a lot particularly our supporters who would have liked him to have, you know, entered into the record Bain, the tax returns and certainly the 47 percent issues, Axelrod replied.
Early in the conference, Axe urged the reporters to investigate Romneys statements during his win at the Denver debate against President Barack Obama.

Clearly, they are all on the same team. Like a bunch of little leaguers surrounding their manager.
the GOP needs to mention names and get on their hosws minus MSNBC and call them out onn live camera about their bias.
This crap is out of control now.
They have the schools, most judges, lawyers, senate, white house and THE MEDIA and they still can;t close the deal and have gone into panic what on earth do we do now mode.
Name names, give facts which the left wing turds hate expecially the media and set up a truth website which calls these people out
It really is amazing. How these people keep their press credentials. They are full blown lap dogs for the regime. In a more honorable time, they would have been fired for engaging in collusion. They have destroyed all the credibility they ever had.
the mass media in this country is nothing more than an extension of the zero re election committee. They don’t even bother to hide it any longer.
One of the article’s comments:
Talking with my wife after the debate, or as I am fond of calling it, the Great Deflate, it dawned on me that Obama acted like a juvenile delinquent in the presence of a full grown, accomplished man.
Obama’s father abandoned him, as did his mother, so he grew up with deep seated insecurities and huge emotional needs. It is obvious from his two autobiographies that he desperately wanted a father. Last night he met Romney in person and he recognized, at least subconciously, that Romney is a good and kind father....and just what he wanted as a child. This psychological dynamic deflated Obama’s sources of energy, narcissistic rage and hate of those he has deemed ‘the enemy.” The internal conflict drained him of his usual energy and left him as vulnerable as a newborn kitten.
If you watch Obama’s face when Romney would graciously say positive things about Obama, or agree with him, you can see the face of an emotionally damaged little boy. Unfortunately, emotionally damaged little boys can grow up to become extremely destructive and dangerous people, bent on revenge and obsessed with gaining enough power to stop that gnawing vulnerability.
We don’t give Romney enough credit for his capacity for insight into people, because he read Obama’s emotions like a book.
Jeff:
I think you put that rather succinctly. Couldn’t agree with you more. The body language was really intriguing. I don’t think you’ll see any change in the second debate, and in fact, I wouldn’t put it past these guys to do something that postpones the debate.
We’ve had elections during wars, so they’re not going to cancel the election, but not showing up for a debate? I think that is the best and only advice that Axelrod can give his candidate. Some manufactured crisis could do it on the eve of the debate.
The MSM are nothing but the DNC Ministry of Propaganda.
The MSM are nothing but the DNC Ministry of Propaganda.
“I dont think youll see any change in the second debate...”
I do.
I think that Obama has been verbally reamed multiple times - by Axelrod, Michelle Obama, his fans in the MSM, etc. There won’t be a repeat of the first debate.
Obama will try to come out swinging. But prior to that, Obama’s MSM allies will pummel Roney in print and on TV in order to soften him up.
He’ll try to goad Romney into saying something stupid or harsh. Of course, he’ll try to appear Presidential - but he’ll get that haughty, chin extended upward attitude.
Hopefully, Romney will be ready for this.
Is this for real??!!??!! Come oooonnnn.....
