I wonder if Letterman will do a Top Ten Reasons list for Obo’s lack of performance Wed night. I wonder.

He did.

Top Ten President Obama Excuses

Friday, October 5, 2012

10. "I haven't slept an hour since 2008"

9. "Romney's hair is mesmerizing"

8. "Didn't want to wake Jim Lehrer"

7. "Haven't been the same since I quit smoking"

6. "Honestly, I thought the debate was next week"

5. "I live with my mother-in-law, what do you want from me?"

4. "Kept blanking on what percentage of the country Mitt's written off"

3. "Skipped rehearsal, just like Letterman"

2. "Why don't you ask Bin Laden how I did?"

1. "It's Bush's fault"

I laughed at first while I watched the link, then I became very unsettled. Are so many Americans so stupid to think teleprompters should be allowed in debates? Our Republic may be doomed.

“Are the Libs saying Obama is not as intelligent or capable as Romney?”

They've been saying that very thing for decades. Why should Obama’s affirmative action benefits stop at the debates?

Obama supporters are as incapable of forming a coherent thought as the TOTUS.

The phrase, "a fish too brainless to feel the pain of the hook", comes to mind.

The feminization of America is complete: “fair” is defined as “when I win.”

I may catch the feminist flamethrower for this, but this brought to mind the part Jack Nicholson played in the movie, As Good as it Gets:

"How do you write women so well?"

"I think of a man. Then I take away reason, and accountability." ;^)

I had exactly the same reaction. We cannot fix these people and the way they think.

0bama’s performance is a symptom of what you posted - liberals are not used to having to actually debate issues. They namecall and think they “won” some point.

Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon.
No matter how well you play chess, the pigeon just knocks over the pieces, craps on the board, utters incoherent and vaguely obscene sounds, and struts around like he won.

These are mostly young people whose “minds” are the product of broken homes and public schools. This is the future of America, no matter which candidate wins in November. Maybe the Muslims or the Chinese will find some use for them in the society they create out of the ruins of a once-promising nation.

How about just having a stand-in instead? That’s the way his whole reign has been anyway. Valerie Jarrett runs the country (into the ground).

Just the thought of it has me laughing. Imagine a stage view of the two of them -—— Obama with his teleprompters and Romney with NO telepromptors!! It would be great!!

It should be apparent to everyone paying attention by now that what Obama can say on any given subject is limited to what’s in his teleprompter, and to a collection of cliches and talking points he has memorized.

As for in-depth knowledge and thinking on his feet, forget about it. So, these Obama supporters are right, at least to the extent that a teleprompter can be loaded to supply the answers needed in a debate.
