Well, instead of buckling down and really getting ready for the debate, he went to a posh Moroccan-style resort in Henderson, Nevada where he seemed to have plenty of time for golf and a side trip to see the Hoover Dam. I guess he figured Romney would be a pushover.
Al Gore sure has grown into a huge blimp filled with gas.
At an early point in the debate, zero’s face was twitching badly. I could see this plainly as I have an HD projector and large screen.
Did anyone else see this?
Nice read and all possibly (probably, if you ask me) true. If you haven’t already, go over to Hillbuzz. Kevin DuJuan confirms a lot of those very same suspicions. Well done piece, nathanbedford.
Or my hypothesis, that Al Gore is a bigger idiot on matters of environment that we give him “credit” for.
That would be the aLgOrE that achieved “D”s in Natural Sciences and Environmental related courses.
I recall thinking Clinton and Gore were stoned a few times.
Both the Bushes also, however I believe that may have been to alcohol.
This came in 2008 but got very little press (well Duh!). A woman who was a fellow law student of Zero at Harvard and served with him on the Law Review staff said he hardly ever showed up for work.
Look at his endless rounds of gold, his constant vacations!
Work to Zero is truly a four letter word!
I go with just plain lazy as my first explanation for his performance fits the known data and requires the fewest assumptions. (Occam’s Razor!)
Yes, but in the last 4 years, he has probably had free access to whatever he wants in whatever amount he wants without worrying about the cost, logistics of finding it, etc. I would guess one of those around him keeps him “fixed” so that he stays on a fairly even keel. (It just didn’t work Wed. night.) He has just floated through these past 4 years drunk, stoned, or hung over. It’s no wonder he can’t remember anything about what’s gone on during this time. 4 years of one continuous party will do a lot of damage.
I wonder if he was ever arrested for drug usage or dealing? If so, this would be part of those sealed records that he has paid millions to conceal, and would certainly explain why he did it. People have speculated about his birth certificate and college records, but an arrest for drug dealing would make those issues pale in comparison.
or perhaps it's just an elevated HIV level.
Ofcourse, I could be completely crazy but it's a gut feeling.
Whatever happened to your friend?
You know, I have no idea. He had been in rehab four times by the time I left NY for good and never looked back. He was never coming back, that much was certain. Last I had heard he had found out he had contracted Hepatitis C (probably from his time in California) and his liver was crapping out. At 28, the doctor had told him he had the liver of a 50 year old man.
Whoa...not good! There comes a point where you have to do exactly that - leave and never look back. Otherwise, you get sucked into the vortex yourself. been there, done that.
I didn’t say “I am wondering if he really wants to be re-elected. Lots of pain coming I fear.” I posted a pic of obama stoned in the hallway of an apartment building. Did you mean to reply to someone else?
Thanks garjog for the link and nathanbedford for the topic.
The main theme was though, drugs or no drugs, Obama was simply outclassed intellectually in the debate.
As for JFK, his drug abuse has to be viewed in a somewhat different light than Obama's, especially considering the relative lack of knowledge at the time about the addictive potential of prescription pain killing drugs. Kennedy's problem was the result of chronic back pain caused by previous tuberculosis, back pain serious enough to compromise his ability to function in routine daily activities. The urgency of his getting pain relief lured his doctors into what we now know were reckless prescribing practices, although less appreciated as such back then. On the other hand, it is believed that the origins of Obama's drug abuse were strictly recreational.
