Used to be that anyone who’d dare perpetrate a crime like this was treated such that a young woman like this would hardly need to worry.
Worse--She had been visiting her father at around 11p.m. and he let her leave by herself to go back home.
What kind of man sends his young daughter out alone, and on foot, at that time of night?
