OK Akin’s an idiot

He's far from an idiot. I find that most people that make statements like yours can't, with out looking, tell me the true details on Akin's standing on one thing that he holds as principles.

Abortions to women who are not actually pregnant?? um... ok.

Yup. That was revealed in the early '80s. Women were sent into the abortion mill operated by Florendo at 30 South Michigan, Chicago with MALE urine specimens.

The mill stated that the XY pee tested positive for pregnancy, and recommended abortion. Based on that, women who certainly were not pregnant were given an abortion, even though there was nothing there.

the scams these abortionists pull are so degraded and unbelievable and at times complex, that it is really hard to summarize them in a few lines, making guys like Akin who try to do so sound strange.

Yep, and that just his latest.
We have several more weeks to go.

Why does he say all this stuff? It’s not helping him win.

For the record, there probably have been scum abortion providers who have done abortion procedures on non pregnant women just to collect the fee. The problem is, Akin has NOTHING to back up his statement. It’s just his musings. Where is the evidence?

The media is making a big deal about this new flub, but as usual, no mention of it on FR.

Hey, I get it. If it’s not on FR, it’s not happening and no won else is reading about it anywhere else.

I tried to find a link for that and couldn’t find it.

That's largely because I was citing from memory. I was a sidewalk counselor at that mill during the time. I met at least one of the women who went in with the substitute sample. This particular operation was largely covered in a series in the Chicago Sun-Times called "Meet the Abortion Providers" back in 1979 (Florendo was also involved in Medicaid fraud, among other things). Unfortunately, that paper does not do a good job of providing archives on line.

It is rare that an MSM publication does such good work. The "Meet the Abortion Providers" series in '79 was one. The Washington Post's publication of Stephen Mosher's coverage of Red China's One-Child policy was another. An article in Harpers' by Tom Bethell (1983?) sympathetic to Creationism, and focusing on taxonomists who admitted that the discussion was largely political was a third. Such publications are rarer these days.

He’s talking about Planned Parenthood here and their criminal accounting practices that bilk the feds.

That’s the problem.

While I am certain what Akin said has happened, there seems to be no record of it. No evidence. The women who this happened to would be none the wiser, it’s a perfect scam.

The only evidence would if some abortion mill worker came forward and said “we did abortions on women who were not pregnant” and her story was corroborated. I can’t find anything of the sort.

So WHY THE HELL does Akin make comments like this that he cannot back up (even if it’s perfectly plausible that they could be true)? Does it help him win?

NO.

A stand by my opinion of this man from the beginning. He is an idiot.

Didn’t really want the graphic detail.........., but how is the party laying on the table supposed to know what they are doing, heck suction sounds in the dentist office probably sound the same.

I’m just saying, its easy to pretend and charge the money and we all know its all about the money.
