That's largely because I was citing from memory. I was a sidewalk counselor at that mill during the time. I met at least one of the women who went in with the substitute sample. This particular operation was largely covered in a series in the Chicago Sun-Times called "Meet the Abortion Providers" back in 1979 (Florendo was also involved in Medicaid fraud, among other things). Unfortunately, that paper does not do a good job of providing archives on line.
It is rare that an MSM publication does such good work. The "Meet the Abortion Providers" series in '79 was one. The Washington Post's publication of Stephen Mosher's coverage of Red China's One-Child policy was another. An article in Harpers' by Tom Bethell (1983?) sympathetic to Creationism, and focusing on taxonomists who admitted that the discussion was largely political was a third. Such publications are rarer these days.
