Speaking as a teacher - and a veteran who does have some knowledge as to how to defend himself - I just want people to consider that in many cases, in many places, teachers are unable to effectively defend themselves because if they hurt a child - even slightly - it’s the end of their career. I’ve seen a number of colleagues hurt by small children because they have been required to accept and absorb repeated attacks without doing anything effective to restrain or prevent the attacks.

In related news Webster also bought a lottery ticket. He didn’t have to consult with a lawyer for that, and will only have to split the winnings with the government.

However, if this teacher had so much as giving this kid a bearhug, to restrain him, the teacher would have been up on charges of abuse.

So, I do actually give some credence to the story.

And if he had defended himself against the little psycho he’d be in jail.

Not funny at all. Before we start accusing the guy of going for the deep pockets - I saw a 6-year-old send my 50-year-old friend to the hospital for hernia surgery in a very similar incident. You don't think they can hurt you, but they can hurt you. Could a 50-lb kid pop a 220-lb guy's knee? You better believe he can. Easily, and if you don't think so, ask a karate instructor what he teaches kids to do.

And before we start saying, "He's a big guy, he should have handled the thing," recall that if he'd swatted the kid or even grabbed him, he'd be in jail. If the Docs say his injury is real, he's got a case. IMHO, of course.

First read that as “220lb Queen beaten up by 6 y/o.” Guess that works too.

That dude weighs 250 or more. He hasn’t been 220lbs since he was in College.

The kid should’ve been expelled from the school. But maybe a public school cannot kick out a student so easily. Well, maybe this teacher suing the city will help to change that policy.
