MEDIA IGNORE INDEPENDENTS' SWING TOWARD ROMNEY
Breitbart's Big Journalism ^ | 27 Sep 2012 | Dustin Hawkins

Not long ago, Independents were the go-to demographic for determining who would win elections. How the Independents swung, so too would the election.

In 2008, Barack Obama carried Independents in Ohio by 8 points and in Florida by 7 points. That victory among Independents contributed a great deal to his 2.8-point win in Florida and his 4.5 point win in Ohio.

A victory by Romney among Independents could tilt both key states in his favor.

Curiously, Independents seem to be mostly ignored this election cycle, and their presidential vote preference is almost unanimously ignored by the MSM. Instead, “women” have replaced Independents as the key demographic.

This emphasis and sudden fascination conveniently ties in nicely with the Democrats’ fictitious “War on Women” meme.

non party goes for Romney
middle class for Romney
white men for Romney
white married women for Romney
elderly for Romney

Correct me if I am wrong but that is most of the voters so how on this earth could he be losing?

The media and their polls might as well just stop saying they;re a news channel or program and admit they work to get Dems elected

I never could understand how, considering the unbridgable chasm that exists between Obama’s values and any other candidate’s beliefs, there are still those who call themselves independent voters.

It goes like this:

  1. Republican registration is up.
  2. Democrat registration is down.
  3. Indies are swinging to Romney.
  4. Therefore, Obama's lead is widening outside the margin of error.

    Simple enough?

There is no Romney surge. Obama is leading by 10 points.

Someone else said in one of the other threads that the media making it seem like Obama is comfortably ahead is actually more likely to hurt him in the election. His lukewarm supporters won't feel like going to the trouble of voting and Republicans will be showing up in huge numbers to make sure Romney prevails if it is a squeaker.
