There was a video leading the Drudge Report on Thursday afternoon of a poor black woman with messed-up teeth saying she's voting for President Obama because he gave her a free phone, and perhaps you have some questions about it. Questions like: Is this video racist? Is Obama really giving away phones? Is anyone really bothered by these Obama Phones? And, come on, this is just blatant racism, right? We'll try to answer them.
Is this Obama Phone phone real?
Sort of. The Federal Communications Commission has a program called Lifeline that provides low-cost or free phone service. The agency's website says this is because it and Congress "recognize that telephone service provides a vital link to emergency services, government services and surrounding communities." Who qualifies varies by state..

Is this video racist?
Let's start by saying it's racial. The Obama Phone video belongs to a genre popular on conservative blogs in which poor people, usually black, confirm conservatives' worst 47-percent fears by saying they can get something for nothing because Obama's in office. The message is, "Here's what Obama's supporters really look like."
The standout in the category is "Obama money": Back in October 2009, big lines formed formed for Detroit housing assistance applications after the city underestimated how many people would show up to apply. The scene was chaotic, and local TV reported there were rumors that $3,000 checks would be handed out.

Drudge's only commentary with the Obama Phone video is "OBAMA HAS MY VOTE, HE GAVE ME A FREE PHONE," but the conservative internet quickly picked up a broader electoral theme: this is what the 47 percent -- the people Mitt Romney referred to as "dependent upon government" at a secretly taped fundraiser -- looks like. A video gives PROOF to Romney’s statements and things most Americans already know, but it’s just a stereotype?
Oh, heavens no. Don’t do any journalistic investigation of Obama deliberately lying to the American people over Libya and the murder of our Ambassador. NO! Or the shambles of Obama’s foriegn policy. No, talk about some YouTube video and use it as another excuse to call the corrupt MSM’s opponents racist.
I don’t care what the woman’s race was, I am just as incensed about her as I am about a white Georgetown hussy bragging about how she would vote for Obama because she got free birth control. It is the freeloader mentality that gets me. I work hard and so do my kids and we buy our own damn phones.
Lets just condense this down to its most basic: Any criticism of Obama is racist. And it should be avoided at all costs.

Which candidate has given many illegals a pass to stay in the country?
Which party is fighting to now show photo ID before voting?
Which candidate supports reducing the military?
Which candidate wants to keep Govt health care?
if they get them all right then they can vote but as of right now we have many idiots like this woman which is deciding the country's future and our future AND OUR CHILDRENS FUTURE

Yes, anything having to do with a “BLACK” person is racist. Didn’t you know that? Showing them, seeing them, listening to them, talking to them, etc....
The mindset that has been inculcated about “blacks” in this country by the liberal politicians and national media, has done an unbelievable disservice to people of color.
Starting with Obama, Eric Holder, and liberal whites like Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and liberal white enabling politicians, have done MORE to set back race relations in this country than the KKK ever did in 50 years.

Me too. I had a cell phone 4 years ago but had to let it go when all my expenses got higher and my income didn't keep up.
I sent the video to a buddy of mine who delivers mail “back East”... he says “problem is, I deliver to people JUST LIKE HER every day.”
For those of us not in areas like that we just don’t realize how many there are. Best story of his:
he had another friend with him and on one delivery a fine young man came out of his home to say “Hey! Whey my check at? Whey my check at!?!?!”
His buddy answered: “They haven’t finished taking it out of mine yet!”

If an oboma supporter is black and comes across as really stupid, we are racist for noticing it? BTW, Drudge had another white obama supporter that was just as stupid. Made a comment in his video that the killed Ambassador probably deserved it. Noone is complaining about that one.
