The Libya Debacle - The more we learn, the more Benghazi looks like a gross security failure..
WSJ ^ | September 27, 2012

In his United Nations speech on Tuesday, President Obama talked about the September 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya and declared that "there should be no doubt that we will be relentless in tracking down the killers and bringing them to justice." What he didn't say is how relentless he'll be in tracking down the security lapses and intelligence failures that contributed to the murders. Let's say there's some doubt about that.

None of the initial explanations offered by the White House and State Department since the assault on the Benghazi consulate has held up.

First the Administration blamed protests provoked by an amateurish anti-Islam clip posted on YouTube. Cue Susan Rice, the U.N. Ambassador and leading candidate for Secretary of State in a second Obama term: "What happened initially was that it was a spontaneous reaction . . . as a consequence of the video, that people gathered outside the embassy and then it grew very violent."

We are back where we were before 9-11, when other African embassies were attacked by terrorists. Clinton’s response was to send in the FBI. Obozo can’t even manage that.

Everyone should read this article in its entirety. The Ambassador warned he was on Al Queada’s list and there were NO Marines guarding the American embassy. This was an assassination.

“The President’s number one job is the security of the American people.”

How about “protect, preserve and defend the constitution”?

Or a false flag. Is it a coincidence that Muslim outrage erupted over a video- an obscure video, after it had been up for months? And that immediately, 0bama began having these “first amendment” doubts? Why should the opinion/ hysteria of a third world culture affect the laws of first world nations like the US, Europe, & Australia? (that’s a rhetorical question)

It is a “chicken or the egg” argument, but it is consistent with mass shootings & the 2nd Amendment.

My conclusion is that we need to get out from under the UN & the UN needs to get out of America (& America’s business).

the timing also, before the UN speech..Obama brings up the video again.

Obama Denounces Anti-Islam Film During U.N. Speech: ‘The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam’

Hillary even brought it up at the memorial service, very odd..would not let it go until CNN reported on a diary.

The security and staffing of our Diplomatic Mission in Libya was intentional.

Obama and Hillary have been playing it fast and loose in Libya and they were using Ambassador Stevens, a trusted Chicago operative with personal ties and loyalty to Obama and to the Islamic Radicals in the country, as their personal envoy, courier and black bag man for whatever they were up to in post war Libya.

It's likely that there was no professional security staff, Marine guards, military attaché ,CIA intelligence or State Dept Diplomatic people on site because there was a desire on the Obama Administration and whoever was benefiting from the overthrow in Libya to not have anyone from America taking a close look what Stevens was up to and who he was meeting with.

Instead of a normal embassy staff and Marine guards, our Diplomatic Mission in Libya seemed to consist of Stevens, his assistant and a security detail made of militia men from one of Libyan revolutionary factions.

This is a highly unusual and unorthodox Diplomatic team to say the least. It seems Obama wanted more of an “Our Man in Havana “ presence to do his personal bidding in Libya secretly under the radar screen as opposed to serious team of American foreign service professionals whose mission was to help stabilize Libya and help set up a new Democratic government that served the Libyan people and was friendly to the West.

Interestingly, in the chaos after the attack Hillary and her staff were freaking out and had stunned, deer in the headlights looks and someone disclosed that at the time of the attack, Stevens had in his posession a lot of “highly sensitive documents, including oil contracts” and that it was a disaster that those documents had gone missing during the attack.

It's almost as unusual for American Diplomats to carry sensitive documents and oil contracts around with no professional American security as it is for an Ambassador to be killed in a terrorist assault.

Kind of makes you wonder what Stevens was up and what was really going on to warrant a full scale assault to get him killed.

We are not getting the truth or full story, that's for sure.

Question #1.-Who ordered Stephens to go to Benghazi?

Question #2.-What was so important in Benghazi that Stephens went there without security? Why was he there at all?

@ opentalk Creepy stuff, as far as I’m concerned.

@ Hardraade Not just 0bama, but long term. (Think NWO & CPUSA) Thanks for reminding me. I need to scare up a link to a very similar situation to ours currently happening in Sweden.

I’d say it can be safely assumed that anytime our ambassador is sodomized and murdered by a mob of Muslims, security was not too hot.

This was an assassination.

...or a sacrifice.

obama, needed to cover something up and he needed a distraction, the ambassador provided both.

Congressional pressure grows for Obama on Libya Consulate attack

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.) was circulating a letter Senate aides said would be signed by members of both parties asking for more information and another briefing on Libya — a development Republicans described as a significant shift from what had been a partisan fight.

“It's my understanding today that all members of the Foreign Relations Committee — both Democrats and Republicans — are asking the administration for answers,” Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said. “So this is now something that certainly could never be colored as partisan.”

KG, you’ve just stated what I’ve been saying now for a week. I’m glad that at least one other person sees through the smoke.

First, the attempts to get public opinion in favor of reducing the protections provided by the 2nd Amendment via Fast and Furious backfired when the Administration failed to think ahead.

Now, the $70,000 ad produced on behalf of the State Department blaming the amateur video - that nobody has seen - for the violence in Benghazi, accompanied by Susan Rice’s amateur performance on last Sunday’s news shows, all in an attempt now to blame the 1st Amendment.

This isn’t the fault of the UN, but it just demonstrates the lengths this Administration will go to take our freedoms from us - freedoms that countless of thousands have died for, that Obama thinks are “just a bump in the road”.
