The DOE payments to SoloPower will come on top of the $56.5 million SoloPower has collected in loans, tax credits and incentives from the state of Oregon and the city of Portland, where its first factory will be located.
Well, that's $235,500,000 that US, Oregon, and Portland taxpayers can kiss goodbye so some Greens can feel good momentarily. More once the lawyers get involved during the inevitable collapse.
*sigh*
Maybe I should start a solar power company. For 2 years of work I could end up with several million dollars in self-awarded bonuses and salary after the whole thing collapses. Not bad...
