This morning i caught Susan Rice, ambassador to the UN on TV. I guess a weekend talk show interview.
All i heard her say was “we had no actionable intelligence” in regards to the attacks. Of course that leads me to believe we did have intelligence but it never reached the level of ‘actionable’. Not actionable i guess includes no bullets. The other thought that came to mind is why would our ambassador to the UN be in that intelligence loop? That makes absolutely no sense at all at least in my eyes. To me she was given a specific response to say on TV and did so.
CNN: Protests against film a diversion. Attack was planned
Egypt intelligence warns (on Sept 4th) of attacks on Israel, US embassies
Well, when we start with the improbable idea that a man about whom we know so little has the highest security clearance available...
Rice has nothing to do with the operation of Embassies and Consulates. But please don't pick on the little black girl. They are playing the RACE card and the GENDER card.
Maybe we did not have enough specific intelligence to go after the exact people who were planning an attack, but we could have increased our security around our embassies and consulates in the ME. Perhaps an ambassador should have postponed a trip to a lightly protected consulate until after the eleventh anniversary of nine-eleven, especially after the attack on the Embassy in Cairo.
Someone else pointed out that no actionable intelligence is lawyer speak not for “no available intel” but rather, for “we can’t make a watertight case for prosecuting anyone in a US court of law with a jury full of liberals.”
