A top strategist for Mitt Romney confirmed Sunday night that “speeches go through lots of processes and editing” after Politico first reported there were competing versions of Romney’s Tampa, Fla., convention speech. The speech Romney ultimately delivered was criticized for failing to mention Afghanistan.

The question is not the disarray, but what is the effectiveness of the campaign?
How has the “Romney Plan” been working out for Romney/Ryan?
Looks to me that the most likely to vote folks don’t see much difference between Obama and Romney.
The polls reflect the perceived difference between what Obama has done to America, and what Romney plans to do.
Can Romney actually say what he plans to do without comparing his plans to Obama’s?
My guess is that Romney will just continue to describe what Obama has done, and thus act as a perverse salesman FOR Obama’s base who like what Obama has done., and thus be encouraged that the Republicans are unhappy.
The Independent voter will usually vote FOR the incumbent if there is no perceived significant difference between any two candidates: “He may be a devil, but at least we know where he stands.”
Romney cannot compare his ideas to Obama’s, because that ties his and Obama’s ideas together in the mind of an undecided voter in an either-or-knot, and the undecided voter will usually choose the best known, ie, the incumbent.
Thus, it is up to Romney to sell his plan independent of anything tied to Obama. No jokes, hints, or nuances: just straight sales!
Can Romney give a speech without any direct or indirect to what Obama has done?
Can Romney stand and deliver his Romney Plan, or will he just continue to play that old nanny-nanny boo-boo game of “My plan is better than your plan! Nanny-nanny, boo-boo.”?
Tick-tock, Romney. Tick-tock.
He’s running Kerry’s campaign, Kerry said, “I have a plan”, but he never really said what it was.....Bush was very beatable, but Kerry basically ran on “Vote for me because I’m not Bush.” Just as Mitt is running on, “Vote for me because I’m not Obama.”
Everyone has a “pet issue”, and every speech can’t mention every issue. If they did, the speeches would be as numerous, long, and boring as obamas speeches.
It’s also funny that the media can pick apart everyone’s else’s speeches, except their demi-god obamas; no matter what he says, the media magically condenses it down to “peace”, “love”, and “fairness”.
Yesterday is past, and documented. We all know the havoc that Obama has wreaked upon America. Tomorrow is not here yet, but the knee-padded MSM is already telling us everything that Romney will do, or say, if he wins.
I guess the press have crystal balls, but crystal balls can be shattered by steel balls, and that’s what Romney needs to have to win. So far, he seems to just have ping-pong balls, going back and forth on some issues.
But, all things considered, I’d rather have the Moran than the Muzzie.

This 'top staffer's' comments give credence to the first story. The JonStewart media is the charity arm of the D-n-C. IF liberals had to pay for all their free advertising they would be in worse financial shape than this nation.

I live in Pennsylvania and I have not seen a single Romney ad. Either the campaign’s in disarray or they have some grand scheme that’s yet to unfold.
The way the Obama administration is imploding, Romney doesn’t have to do much.
The Democrats have a simple and effective message, VOTE FOR US AND WE WILL GIVE YOU MONEY.
The Republicans need an equally simple and effective message, VOTE FOR US OR THERE WON’T BE ANY MONEY TO GIVE YOU.
The first rule of rhetoric is REMEMBER YOUR AUDIENCE. The audience is the American voters. The average American voter isn’t a genius, but he/she understands money and how they use it. Let them know in simple terms that even those receiving money from the government will have less buying power if Democrats are elected.
It may have been the same staffers he had start the rumors about Sarah Palin to undercut the last Republican candidates. He was willing to see Obama win so he could run this time. He should have known that if they were willing to do that to this Country, for him , they were not trust worthy. I know I will be flamed and told that any criticism of Romney is a vote for Obama. Remember before the primaries when the MSM, talking heads and polls all agreed that Romney was the only candidate that could beat Obama? The ABO crowd fell for it and voted Romney. They trusted them then. So if Obama wins it will be because they voted for the ECHO not a Choice.
There can be no doubt that somebody itched to somebody... Maybe the 'gay' mafia at some stinky bathhouse. But I know one thing the primary Romney and not shown up yet in the general election. Must be all those liberals that voted in open Republican primaries. AND I could care less if I get flamed. Reality is what it is.
