The Folly of a Conventional Strike on Iran

It would be a terrible tragedy if a conventional military strike against Iran did not achieve its objective. Israel, in particular, is the country with it’s neck in Iran’s nuclear noose. For Israel’s sake, Iran must be stopped from producing Islamic terrorist nukes, and since negotiations and sanctions have failed along those lines, the logical alternative is to attack Iran with nuclear weapons on the model of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I’d prefer Armageddon to occur without our help, and with the tribal jealousies over there it’s not just possible but inevitable that they’ll eliminate each other. Of course, there are a few other inconvenient details to work out. Not just the Navajos, but the Hopis.

That is why is so important for the Israelis to attack the Iranian government from the first day, keep attacking, & force them into hiding for fear of a Hellfire missile. This will allow the Iranian people the opportunity to organize & act. Once any regime goes into hiding, for whatever reason, it is finished.

The reason to attack the power & water systems is to make the people very unhappy. If you have ever been w/o power & water for several days, you know how unhappy you can get. People in a foul mood often do things they would not normally do. People with no power, no lights, not TV, go OUTSIDE & complain amongst themselves.

Yeah, they are gonna blame Israel, but soon enough, they will blame the lunatics, whose raving & ranting about Israel got them into the mess - the mullahs, to whom they already have little allegiance.

The biggest problem Israel has in attacking Iran is how long they can sustain the war, politically & militarily.

Surely, most of the West, will publicly denounce Israel. So will islamic countries, but they don't much count since Israel has little or no relations with them. How loud & long the West complains will dictate how long Israel can continue attacking. Obama, because he needs the Jewish vote, will have to mute his displeasure, while in private I expect him to be furious. Bibi says - gotcha!

Militarily, I have no idea how long Israel can sustain a intensive, long distance war alone. Surely weeks, but months I'm not so sure.

One thing in Israel's favor: The US will be forced to destroy the Iranian navy, shore facilities, & coastal defenses, as the foolish Iranians will undoubtedly attack Gulf shipping immediately upon an Israeli attack. Not even Obama will be able to ignore this. Obama is in a trap, he knows it, but Bibi knows it, too. The trap is worthless on November 7th.
