'Innocence of Muslims' Shot on Hollywood-Built Set - production worker talking to FBI
Hollywood Reporter ^ | September 14, 2012 | Paul Bond

The Innocence of Muslims, a movie that has enraged radical Islamists who have rioted and committed murders in the Middle East this week, was partially shot on a set that Paramount's TV unit helped to build for its TV show JAG, and a man with five decades of movie and television experience is helping the FBI figure out who is behind the controversial film.

Portions of the infamous, micro-budget movie were filmed in Saugus, about 30 miles north of Hollywood, on a portion of Blue Cloud Film Ranch called “Baghdad Square,” which is often used for TV and film productions seeking to replicate Middle Eastern war zones.

“JAG and Paramount and myself, we built this entire set for the JAG TV series,” says Blue Cloud owner Rene Veluzat in a YouTube video where he describes his movie ranch. On Thursday, though, that video was made “private” and protected by a password.

Paramount Television produced JAG, which aired on CBS from 1995-2005.

A Paramount spokesperson said the studio has no way to verify whether it built the set.

The building facades in and around Baghdad Square at Blue Cloud appear in episodes of JAG and The Innocence of Muslims, as well as other TV shows and movies.

The FBI and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were interviewing Veluzat on Thursday, and Veluzat told The Hollywood Reporter that both law-enforcement agencies instructed him not to speak with the press or other interested parties about what he knows about The Innocence of Muslims.

Sources close to the investigation say they’re hoping Veluzat can, among other information, provide clarity as to the real names of the filmmakers. The Innocence of Muslims filmed Aug. 18, 2011, at Blue Cloud under the name Desert Warrior. The producer was listed in the film permit as Sam Bossil, though it’s an alias (reports also have identified him as Sam Bacile).

According to Film L.A., the county is holding the film permit under lock and key for now while it alerts those who are named on it that their identities -- assuming they are real -- are about to made public. Insiders say law-enforcement officials are concerned for the safety of the filmmakers once their true identities are known.

Other movies and TV shows partially filmed at Blue Cloud include Iron Man, Get Him to the Greek, Serenity, Arrested Development, NCIS Los Angeles, The Closer, Threat Matrix and CSI. The U.S. military has also made training videos at Blue Cloud.

Veluzat, 72, said the 100-acre ranch is for sale for $15 million.

Veluzat worked as a stand-in for TV shows in the 1960s. Later, he acted, did stunt work, worked in post production, transportation and in the art department of various productions. In 2003, he produced The Long Ride Home, a film starring Randy Travis, Eric Roberts and Ernest Borgnine that Lions Gate Films distributed.

Any of those involved in the production of this movie...that the FBI have an interest in...should agree to be interviewed by the FBI...but only on the Greta show.

I am very concerned that what we have here is not protection of a citizen, but investigation of one. Please, FBI, prove me wrong.

"Perhaps the most successful piece of agitprop video ever devised, in terms of cost to effect."

Let's do more - really drive them over the cliff - make it ever more difficult for the ROP apologists.
Inflame a Moslem today - do it for America.

Check this out:

“The man identifying himself as Bacile told the AP he was an Israeli-born, 56-year-old Jewish writer and director. But a Christian activist involved in the film project, Steve Klein, told the AP on Wednesday that Bacile was a pseudonym and that the man was Christian. Klein had told the AP on Tuesday that the filmmaker was an Israeli Jew who was concerned for family members who live in Egypt.”

_______________

“With the Coptic Christian filmmaker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula in hiding, film promoter Steve Klein has taken center stage in the unfolding international drama. He’s given a stream of interviews about the film and the man he says he knew only as Sam Bacile, and is using the attention to talk about his own political views.”....

Then absorb this:

.....Klein is a former Marine and longtime religious-right activist who has helped train paramilitary militias at a California church. It described Klein as founder of Courageous Christians United, which conducts protests outside abortion clinics, Mormon temples and mosques.”.........

http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/09/13/v-fullstory/3000187/california-man-confirms-role-in.html

And this:

“......Klein is also closely affiliated with the Christian right in California, organizing resentment against all the usual targets — Muslims, homosexuals, feminists, and even Mormons. He is a board member and founder of a group called Courageous Christians United, which promotes anti-Mormon, anti-Catholic and anti-Muslim literature (including the work of Robert Spencer) on its website. In 2002, Klein ran for the California Insurance Commissioner under the American Independent Party, an extremist fringe party linked to the militia movement, garnering a piddling 2 percent of the vote.”.....

It is beginning to appear that more than one side is pushing this toward a perfect storm “Helter Skelter” scenario.

WTF is going on here. You can make a movie with sodomy, group sex, simulated animal sex, simulated child sex.. you can make a movie that simulates the assassination of a sitting president, that blames the terrorist attacks on a sitting president, that mocks Christianity and Christians .. but you can’t make a movie that discusses islam that wasn’t even a movie , that wasn’t released into theaters or you get investigated by the FBI. Only a muslim would be so offended to have this sort of reaction.

What the hell is going on in this country? Obama underwrote these “revolutions” in the ME and when his policies fail, he has his minions blame a guy that made a video? really?

If everyone with a pulse doesn’t vote for the candidate most likely to defeat this guy, they are just as guilty as those who vote for him.

This is legit eerie to anyone with any real clue of what is happening in our current political climate today. As I really started reading up on this story I said to myself and my girlfriend;”Wow, these people at the top are freaking GOOD at what they do” and it should be terrifying people not only because of the timing of the event, but the stance that a lot of American citizens seem to be taking pretending like this sort of retaliatory, vehement behavior is not only to be tolerated, but embraced. What is going on with people these days?

"Terminiello v. City of Chicago, 337 U.S. 1 (1949), was a case in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that a 'breach of peace' ordinance of the City of Chicago which banned speech which 'stirs the public to anger, invites dispute, brings about a condition of unrest, or creates a disturbance' was unconstitutional under the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution." (from a wiki source)

Hold on now, the Constitution is not a suicide pact; the phrase "suicide pact" was first used by Justice Robert H. Jackson in his dissenting opinion in Terminiello v. Chicago.

Neither is the Constitution a czar and fetters.

These evil, clumsy movie makers shouted fire in a crowded theater! Really? Media ideologues, et al. feeeeeeeeeeel so.

Sounds familiar.

". . . some key [events] exacerbated the national debate, fraying trust, and national cohesion just a little more each time . . . The two-party system that had governed America . . . begin to fall apart . . . interest in politics took the place of all other forms of news-related entertainment . . . politicians were the celebrities . . . [Politics/ideology] was becoming such a habit, the reactions so automatic, that [journalists] taking sides on every news story became inevitable."

.. I just can't avoid thinking about this from for Love & Liberty by Robin Young and it's about 1857 America.

When these clowns are more interested in who expressed an opinion than who murdered who then.. well let's just get it over with.

One more:

“....The scary part isn’t even that Steve Klein, a “Christian activist” who was involved with making the film, told the AP that he “warned the filmmaker that ‘you’re going to be the next Theo van Gogh.’” Van Gogh was the Dutch filmmaker who was shot eight times and nearly decapitated by a Dutch-born Muslim of Moroccan descent who disapproved of Van Gogh’s short film Submission.”...

“Has the FBI devolved into thought police? They have absolutely no business investigating this man. It is chilling. This mans coreligionists are routinely harassed, raped and killed in Egypt. Making a film whatever the artistic merit is his absolute right. Holder is turning the once proud FBI into a goon squad.’

You are correct, they have no business wasting our money investigating this. Did they investigate Pi$$ Christ, or elephant dung on Mary?

I won’t even put all of this on that current POS in the White House. This is a government so far out of control and completely ignoring OUR, read that again OUR constitution and constitutional rights that it is amazing we have not used our Thomas Jefferson escape clause.

With Odumbo Mugumbo in office we have the Muslim Brotherhood pulling the strings of our federal law enforcement.

The thought police are out in full force. There is no first Amendment protection of free speech and a non-religious hate cult is the reason.

From the clips that I watched, it is all based on the Koran, Hadith, and other Muslim sources that detail the beginnings of Islam. The portrayal is in no way respectful, but it is not inaccurate.
