I think that the host country is responsible to protect foreign embassies.

I think that each US embassy has a contingent of Marines, don’t they?

Wonder why they didn’t fight back? Or even call in fighter jet support.

they guys that were there fought for 4 hours..with no bullets..I’d say they put up a hard fight

Well it looks like he wasn't actually at the embassy but at the Benghazi consulate. Consulates are branch offices of the embassy, they usually don't have anywhere near the same security as embassies. Some do, but most don't.

Did the Marines even have live ammo? What were their rules of engagement? If they had weapons, did they use them? Did any Americans in Benghazi survive? What really happened? Did the host government try to assist the Ambassador?
