I despise those subhuman knuckledraggers who killed Stevens and this wouldn’t surprise me, but I think it’s important to know that “news” that emanates out of freaked-out countries like Lebanon is little more than regurgitated street rumor.
When I was at European Command in the 90s, one of my duties was reviewing media reactions from the night before. The warning we always got about Lebanon was to take any news reports coming from there with a large grain of salt.
