God is faithful...
... and STRONG!
All praises to God and heartfelt thanksgiving through Christ, for sparing our dear brother, Pastor Youcef!
Thank you Lord!
I would love to see a post release photo of him, with his family.
WOW!! PRAISE BE TO GOD IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD!!!
Awesome! I am so happy for him and all of his loved ones. Surely they are rejoicing and glorifying God for He is good.
Lord our father, we pray for our brother Youcef whom you have found favor in. We ask you Lord to keep a hedge around him as he goes forth and boldly proclaims the Gospel. As in the day when the Sanhedrin arrested Peter and John for healing a lame man and were asked:"By what power or by what name have you done this?"Peter became filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and told them that it was by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom they crucified. The Sanhedrin ordered their release but also severely threaten them, that they would never speak to no man in this name again.
Peter and John However obeyed God instead, and immediately began preaching to the people and the Church grew. Again the Leaders of the Temple had them arrested and put in prison, but at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, telling them to:
"Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life."Obeying God, they they went to the Temple the next morning and again began preaching the Gospel in the name of Jesus. Shocked they had escaped from prison, the rulers of the Temple learned they were actually in the Temple defying their order by preaching in the name of Jesus of Nazareth again and had them brought in to them for questioning.
When they realized they could not stop them from speaking of Jesus and teaching His teachings, they headed the advice of Saul's (the apostle Paul) teacher, Gamaliel who was a Pharisee held in high respect by all the people. Gamaliel told the rest of the Sanhedrin:
"I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it--lest you even be found to fight against God."After being beaten, they were commanded not to speak in the name of Jesus again and let go. However, we learn from the Scriptures that they again obeyed God instead of man and went out from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. They continued to go to the temple and would not cease from teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
Scripture I referenced can be found in the book of
Acts, chapters 3 to 5
So my fellow FReeper brothers and sisters in Christ, join me in prayer that Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, is filled with the Holy Spirit and does not cease to teach and preach that Jesus is the Christ and that He is the only way to salvation. Knowing that our prayers will bring even more condemnation down upon him from the Islamic rulers of Iran. It is not those who shirk from their responsibility whom the Lord uses and blesses, but those who willingly enter the oven knowing that another will be by their side, our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.
Please do not cease now that he is free, pray more earnest for him, because it is the most powerful weapon in our arsenal. For if God is for us, who can be against us? Lord be with our brother Youcef in his ministry as he teaches those who are lost and trapped in a lie.
Our Father, in Jesus name we ask that you continue to bless Youcef, and protect him from those who would stand in Your way. I pray, we all pray, that the preaching of our brother Youcef adds to Your church daily and that the Gospel will overshadow the evil which permeates from those who would persecute him for following your great command of making disciples and baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Lord may your will be done, Amen
All Honor and Glory To God!
Thank You, Father, Thank You!
Read this earlier today on FB but didn’t know if it was true. Prayers, many, many prayers, answered. Praise God.
Nothing like a few spelling errors to start my day off.
Oh well, next time I shall try not to be in so much of a rush to hit post.
Hopefully this is a valid report.
A very brave, courageous man indeed. He could have renounced his faith but refused to deny his Lord and Master.
Puts to shame a lot of people who call themselves Christians here.
Now here’s a pastor whose sermon I would love to listen to.
