Queens man dies after attacking kickboxing gas-station clerk

He picked the wrong guy to mess with.

A drunken Queens man went berserk after he couldn’t get an ATM to work at a gas station early yesterday and was killed when he turned his rage to the attendant — a former competitive kickboxer.

“I feel bad. I didn’t mean for the guy to die. He called me a Taliban,” said Jasjeet Walia, who was released from custody last night after being grilled by cops all day.

“I feel like throwing up. I’m having a bad headache,” said Walia, an amateur kickboxer for seven years in his native Mumbai.

Arzeno had just collected a bundle of cash from a police-brutality suit against the NYPD.

Karma. Obviously the dead guy had a hot temper so I'm going to guess "police brutality" lawsuit was somewhat contrived.

Only to die in a gas station parking lot for being an idiot.

We live in troubled times. The Bombey boxer was trained to defend himself. The drunk made his appointment

Jasjeet Walia is a name Sikhs use. The wrong type of people to choose to mess with.

The suit accused cops of punching him and kneeling on his chest during an arrest.

Why would they want to do that with a nice calm, gentle guy like Oscar? /s

Sikhs are good people. Clean, honest hard working.

Man was killed by his own stupidity.

Martial arts skill is one weapon the feds can’t confiscate.

"Marilyn Machado, 26, the mother of Arzeno’s first child..."

You can fill-in the rest of this guy's bio.

True, but they're definitely working on it.

In some states, having proven martial arts ability qualifies your body as a deadly weapon.

If you injure someone, even if they hit you first, you can be charged with “assault with a deadly weapon”. The risk increases if your assailant is part of a certain protected class of “people”.

The rationale is that a professional fighter can subdue someone without injury and any injury caused is unnecessary and on purpose.

Never register your martial arts ability and never publicly boast about your belts, trophies, etc.

The use of martial arts may bring into question how much force was used on the drunk. This guy was a competitive kick boxer and knew what he was doing and the drunk died. I don’t know if he could go to jail for that or just open himself to a law suit from the family. I’ve heard of this happening even if someone ‘s defending himself.

That is the kind of second guessing that goes on with juries that have never been in difficult situations.
The drunk knew what he was doing when he got drunk and how it might turn out since he has done it before.
an enraged drunk is just as dangerous as a loaded gun. you have no way of knowing what his skills are or what he will do to you if he is able to get a momentary advantage while you are trying to use minimum force..

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. A skilled fighter killing a drunk doesn’t really impress.

My classmates back in HS were Sikhs too so I recognized the name pattern.

Great business-minded culture and warm people as I got invited to lunches all the time. The one thing I couldn’t stand was the strong smell of curry. it’s like they bathe in it..

Yeah. Sikhs are only one step less deadly than Ghurkas.

All those fell into the lake this summer during the same terrible incident where I lost my guns.
