First of all it wasn’t a great speech. It was have been just as effective to say speeches...period. I can’t stand our side complimenting the empty suit just for the hell of it, even if it is a back handed compliment.

"US election 2012: Barack Obama's 'great speeches' don't make Americans better off, says Paul Ryan"

If all the commentary regarding Obama's speech Thursday night was averaged out, I believe the conclusion would be that his speech was less than stellar.

I'll not comment on the content but I do wish to share my observation of his behavior and delivery.

I noticed the lack of bravado in his step and mannerisms as he approached the dais.

Then, when he turned to Michelle and told her "I love you", his tone, the expression on his face and the extended gaze at her was not of a man on top of his game but more so of one on the way to the gallows.

Throughout his speech, his face was signaling that he was under significant stress and as the minutes went on, he exuded what appeared to be controlled fear or some internal terror.

Now, my mind is trying to figure out if his fear is the knowledge that his reelection is not to be ....or........he is aware of something devastating about to take place and he can't reveal it.

Whatever the case, one thing is certain, which is, his fuse is lit....................

He is damned if he wins and damned if he loses. If he wins, he knows it will be four more years of a crappy economy and no one to blame but him. He has finally realized and accepted that his father lied to him. Socialism and marxism don't work. If he loses, the narcissist won't be able to live with himself knowing that everyone will blame him for four years of failed policy and vision.

I just noticed in breaking news Canada closed its embassy in Iran. Could Bibi be close to bombs away?

RYAN is the socialist democrats WORSE NIGHTMARE. Saw him being interviewed by the lefties on CNBC. Those frauds looked dumbfounded and meek after he shut down their feeble attempt to try and SPIN THE OBAMA LEFTIST VIEW and counter what he was outlining to turn the economy around. CNBC is a JOKE. Biden has ZERO chance to defeat RYAN in a debate.

I’ll go a bit further.

Speeches, even with good cadence, full of half truths and flat out lies don’t make Americans better off.
