I agree with you that I think the Constitution permits a non-citizen the right to speak inside the borders of the US. However I don’t equate “speech” with giving money to poltical campaigns, and I don’t think our founders did either. They didn’t let foreigners run for president, and I don’t think they would agree with letting foreigners fund our campaigns either.

- In 2008 Obama disabled the systems that were set up to stop foreign campaign contributions -

- Even Hillary Rodham Clinton did not go that far.

- If that was not enough warning for a “Rocket Docket” at SCOTUS - what would have to happen?

- Posting “New Black Panthers” at the polls to keep whites from voting?

- SCOTUS needs to feel the heat for ignoring their responsibilities and for inventing and editing in bogus horseshirt.....

- Photo IDs must be mandatory to register to vote and/or vote.

- Obama*s corrupt Department of Justice and Attorney General Eric Holder cannot have an Affirmitive Action pass while evil gets a race-sensitive waiver!

Guess Bozo better get busy on whatever he's got in mind for the Second Amendment .....

He won't be able to repeal the First Amendment until he gets the guns.

The Supreme Court has already said that money does equal speech.

“The Supreme Court has already said that money does equal speech.”

I don’t know about that, but are you saying that someone cannot rationally disagree with the Supreme Court? What about Roe v. Wade?

I'm saying Congress can NOT limit speech. It is outside their power.

The Supreme Court has already said that money = speech.

All this said: did you miss the part where I said the Constitution forbids foreign powers giving gifts and titles to elected officials?

“The Supreme Court has already said that money = speech.”

All right, this time I’ll bite. Would you quote that language back to me and reference the opinion? Thanks.

Secondly, as I said before, the Supreme court can make mistakes. I think that if the supreme court said that giving money is the same thing as speech, then they were mistaken.

You can Google as easily as I can.

“You can Google as easily as I can.”

I couldn’t figure out why you were so secretive about your source until I googled it and saw the NYT quote saying “money equals speech.” Sorry, Charlie, but the NYT, much though you may admire it, is not the Supreme Court and the writer obviously misread Buckley v. Valeo. It never makes such an assertion.
