I was trying to describe Eastwood to my middle school-aged kids.
Blank looks when I said “Dirty Harry” the Unforgiven. El Torino.
Nothing.
Then I had it! “he’s the Spirit of the West in Rango!”
Then they said “ooohhhhhhh”
time to rent some old westerns.

Huh? Those are the *new* Eastwood movies. His best ones were the "man with no name" Spaghetti Westerns. Oh, and The Outlaw Josie Wales.

I’m not even 30 and I knew the first 3 Dirty Harry movies. Tell your kids to Youtube Dirty Harry and they’ll get the best scenes as someone uploaded the very best ones. My Japanese bud also told me that Ken watanabe, who starred in Letters from iwo Jima by Clint will be remaking ‘UNFORGIVEN’ for the Japanese audience.

Unforgiven is my favorite western!
I remember the "uh oh" feeling when he took his first swig out of the whiskey bottle.
All right, I'm coming out. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sonofabitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down.

I know what it's like to have to reference animated movies, for the kids to know who you are talking about. LOL
