August 27, 2012 - Federal prosecutors on Monday brushed aside Aaron Broussard's request to dismiss 26 of the 27 wire fraud, bribery and theft charges pending against the former Jefferson Parish president.

Ray Nagin

August 21, 2012 - Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin did not appear in federal court Friday, being granted an extension to produce documents requested for a grand jury. Nagin had received a subpoena to appear before a federal grand jury Friday as it investigates payments and gratuities he allegedly received in office.
