Exclusive: Scott Lively contrasts reactions to column admitting homosexuals' history

There has been an article floating around the Internet for a long time by a self-described “gay left-wing man” named Johann Hari, a columnist for the London Independent. The article is titled “The Strange, Strange Story of the Gay Fascists,” and you can read it for yourself at the vehemently pro-”gay” Huffington Post website. It contains the remarkably forthright admission that homosexuality and fascism have always gone hand in hand. Hari writes:

“The twisted truth is that gay men have been at the heart of every major fascist movement that ever was – including the gay-gassing, homocidal Third Reich. With the exception of Jean-Marie Le Pen, all the most high-profile fascists in Europe in the past 30 years have been gay. It’s time to admit something. Fascism isn’t something that happens out there, a nasty habit acquired by the straight boys. It is – in part, at least – a gay thing, and it’s time for non-fascist gay people to wake up and face the marching music.”

Now, I have a special interest in this article because I am the co-author, along with Orthodox Jewish researcher Kevin E. Abrams of “The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party,” which makes a nearly identical claim, but one backed with nearly 400 pages of documentation.

What I find most interesting about Hari’s article is that it has garnered virtually no opposition. The few comments on the HuffPo page are mostly benign, and if you do a search on Hari’s name you find not a single suggestion that his article constitutes “Holocaust revisionism” or that he, himself, is a “homophobic bigot.” That’s very strange, because I’ve been called both a revisionist and a bigot for writing “The Pink Swastika.”

I ran into an interesting study of childhood development in 19th and early 20th centuries years ago-—which I have filed away somewhere. It dealt in parenting techniques and German and Russian women were horrid to small children. They were cruel and were not adverse to sexually abusing their children.

(Not all the Germans and Russians-—just the unChristian ones. My parents were pure German and good Christians and wonderful parents, although very strict).

The Christianity of Luther was wearing thin by the rise of the Atheists in the 1800’s, like Nietzsche and Hegel and Darwin whose ideology became the dominant worldview in Germany quickly, first the Rhine area which “flowed into the Thames”-—to deChristianize all of Europe eventually.

Pastor Bonhoeffer in the late 20’s was well aware of the “thin” Christianity “practiced” by the Germans. It was so thin-—they could put swastikas on the altars and worship Hitler without blinking an eye.

Without an Absolute (God), you can redesign Good and Evil to any random, arbitrary thing. German’s started doing that in the late 1800’s, and by the time the Weimar Republic was established, and after WWI, they had little belief in a “God”. That removal of Christian Ethics is the slippery slope to no morality what-so-ever. Their dehumanizing and debased culture swallowed many of the children.

We will be reduced to a Hobbsian nasty world, if we dump Judeo-Christian Ethics. Individuality is a Christian concept. Nothing will give dignity and worth to every human beings like Christianity-— and power over others will becomes the big thrill—using others in demeaning ways for fun to give people that temporary “feeling” of immortality which they can’t really have with a belief in no God.

The Leftists HATE this book. I have been monitoring their “Wikipedia” and “news” stories on Scott Lively for years (Uganda, for instance). They put in articles filled with lies and negative biases, just like when they tried to twist what Dan Cathy actually said. The Left lies—always has and they twist all Truth.

It is the first time I noticed how subversive Wikipedia was-—trying to shape opinions and using BF Skinner technique to discourage people from reading anything by Lively—insinuating that he is ...............(fill in the blank) with anything demeaning and hateful which marginalizes him (Alinsky method) so that people will dismiss his book, which is pure Truth, IMHO—it is so well researched and cross-referenced. I have read other books he references in his book-—He is thorough and truthful.

I also had read “Leftist Revisited:From De Sade and Marx to Hitler and Pol Pot” and understand all Leftist movements-—and their Fascist methodology. That is another book and person the Leftists absolutely go Rabid over...... Leftism is pure evil and can NEVER stand the Truth.

The whole GAME of the Leftist movement is to control ALL the THOUGHTS of the masses-—that is where the PC comes in—concept of Mao’s. They want the minds of your children and if you allow them to feed on the ideas that are posited in public schools, have the BOOKS they recommend read by your darlings-—which glorify evil and collectivism and dependence, and watch the TV which gives children a sick picture of Reality (which will become their worldview), you will get an immoral little Marxist. Lenin knew he needed the children for only 4 years to get converts to his sick, dehumanizing ideology.

I'm pretty sure that's an exaggeration. I guess it depends on how you define "high profile" (and how you define "fascist").

The appeal of fascism to some homosexuals hasn't exactly been unknown or hidden all these years. An attraction to young German soldiers and their uniforms inspired not a few collaborators in France and elsewhere.

What was surprising was how long star architect Philip Johnson was able to conceal both his homosexuality and his support for fascism from the public. He wouldn't have gotten all the commissions and honors had the truth been known.

I’m only `Einvierterdeutsch’ myself. There was a time when I admired everything great & good about German culture especially music and I still regard the Nazis as hijackers & robbers. Guess I still believe in the best of Germany. I just wish more of today’s Germans did.

But as my Dad taught me, the more you know, the more you realize how little you know (this while I was being told to study hard & get good grades. Didn’t make sense then.)

I’m older now & I have to concentrate my diminishing intelligence on the only society I ever grew up in - America. In over a century Germany hasn’t found its soul yet IMO and the solution would seem so simple - turn back to Christian traditions. Maybe the Muslim threat will finally awaken der Deutschen Volk and remind them that their roots & rock & bulwark is no further away than the nearest Bible.

Exactly. It would be so simple...God. The strong, brilliant German race—as bullheaded and stubborn as they are, needs a firm upbringing immersed in God with the Judeo-Christian Ethics. Pastor Bonhoeffer, I recently read the biography by Metaxas, was a brilliant, wonderful person who stood up to the evil Nazis also.

Hitler’s father treated him very cruelly, actually kicking him like he was a dog when he was a young boy. Pastor Bonhoeffer’s family was extremely supportive of their young children and Ms. Bonhoeffer only allowed tutors—never allowing her children to attend the Prussian school system until after ages 7 and 8. She stated that two things break the Germans-—the schools and the military. (We adopted the Prussian school system BTW, which the Bonhoeffers hated. )

But it was Nietzsche and the German Postmodernists in the 1800’s who thought they could go beyond Good and Evil-—and get rid of God after years of Lutheranism and Christianity. It really was a catastrophe in Germany and the ideology swept God almost completely out of all of Europe.

If you look at the “barbaric” Germans prior to their Christianization-—they were pretty brutal then, also. It was Christianity which gave such beauty and organization to the Germans who created such brilliant music and authors like Goethe. Same with the Russians. Without Christianity, there never would have been a Dostoevsky.

I received my degree in Art so have studied much Western Art. I have been to parts of Germany and seen the Roman ruins in Trier, but also the absolutely beautiful cathedrals and the countryside with little towns—houses surrounding a church with a steeple. And the wooden toys in the shops etc. Italy is beautiful also—all because of Christianity and that glorification of God. I climbed up the Dome in Florence recently-—and saw the wonder of Brunelleschi’s genius-—only because of Christianity.

That constant search for Truth and something greater than self —and the command to glorify God and treat others as you would yourself-—is a perfect way for any society to flourish. It should be obvious to anyone.
