Who is Mike Huckabee ?

He's what the effete urban RINOs like to think a flyover conservative is.

So then Huckabee is lying when he says:

The chances are excellent that he is, indeed, lying. He is quite practiced.

My problem with this whole situation is it’s the same guys who’d bow down to Harry Reid and compromise with the Dems that are turning on one of their own.

I can’t stomach the spineless Republican Establishment.

(aside from questions about the campaign, technology has been the delimiter of road ownership. Your typical LIbertarian would probably take the same position out of ideological concern. Modern technology will shortly allow us to sell operating rights to roadways ~ which should be done as quickly as possible to get automotive safety into the hands of responsible people)

At the moment my primary complaint about Akin is that he played footsie with the Democrats, then fell into one of their traps ~ an interview with an antagonistic far leftwingtard.

Whatever else he'd been doing right, he did that wrong in his race for the Senate.

I can’t stomach the spineless Republican Establishment.

Missouri is a Red State. But what that means precisely is that about 40% of the electorate considers themselves Republican. In case no one's noticed, 40% doesn't win many elections. Akin, according to the Rasmussen poll, is getting about 38%. So, it's not the Republicans who've deserted him.

And the fact that political analysts know how this works is why they've asked Akin to step down. His monumentally stupid biology gaffe coupled with a bad choice of wording in "legitimate" assured that this race was going from a cakewalk to a slaughter. He went from +10 to -10 in about 3 seconds.

That's not the Republican Establishment's fault. No matter how many people on FR wish it to be.

And that why I’m staying away from this with a 10 foot pole.

Do I think what he said is stupid? Yup.

Do I live or vote in Missouri? Nope. This theirs to decide, not anyone else. No Rove, Huckster, etc.

I haven’t heard Sarah’s take on this? Maybe for the same reason. Let the people decide.

Nanny Huckabee had better be right. If he pushes to keep Akin in the race and Akin goes down in flames, Huckabee will be more of a nobody than he was before.

Huckabee should go back to stuffing his fat mouth with moonpies to keep himself from saying stupid stuff like this.

Yes I remember when everyone on FR just loved Huckabee when he played at the first and second Inaugural Balls. It was fun going back reading those posts. If Romney wins somehow I doubt Jim will sponser an Inaugural Ball for him. Too bad because they sure were fun.
