I have a 10 y.o. daughter and a 20 y.o. It’s still quite possible to buy decent clothing for the little one in the stores - clothing that is not more revealing than when I or my mother were growing up. I steer clear of clingy fabrics, writing across the backside, anything that emphasizes the non-existent bosom. Hand-me-downs from her cousin are edited - no “Apple Cheeks” jeans - what was her mother thinking? “Candies” brand - complete boycott there.

It’s much harder buying for teenagers. Even in church, even for funerals, the girls are wearing short tight skirts, night club shoes. They don’t know any better; they think that’s how you dress up. Again, their mothers SHOULD know better and lay down the law. At least maxi skirts have come into style in the last year.

Not those with sensible, responsible adult parents who put their childrens health and well being first.

And that includes controlling their exposure to the sex oriented TV trash disguised as childrens programming.

I did not read the article but it could be a confusing issue if say a progressive doing the article was to lump little girl attitudes about being a mommy, having babies, pretending to care for a baby(doll), putting on mommy's shirt or pearls and makeup etc....as being sexualized.

Little girls do catch on pretty quick in families where babies are being born that they as females are the reproducers and that they will be mommies one day, they just sure don;t yet know all that entails to get there.

There is no doubt our culture has coarsened...Kardashian slatterns and their fat asses rule....things can get worse and likely will

A university study shows that girls as young as six are being conditioned by the media to think of themselves as sex objects...

Oh, Yeah, Bab....

Wait...Six?

I suddenly feel ill.
