Although I've been writing/blogging about Obama's background since he became a State Senator here in Illinois and exposing his roots, I'm still going to see this movie tonight - if for no other reason than to help prop up the box office numbers. That's capitalism IMO - voting with my dollars in every product or service I buy.
And hey, if I learn something new about the POC in the White House, all the better.

can someone clarify this...I do not believe for one second this is the number one movie in the US
and I was reading Dinesh in the early 80s after Dartmouth when he wrote for Policy Review and we had a mutual friend
I think NewsMax just snipped a tiny snapshot gross for a big header
but the film is doing good considering
when will Weinstein pick it up...lol

$300,000 for the new big-budget, Sylvester Stallone action flick The Expendables 2, which is playing in 3,355 theaters,90 bucks per theater is pretty damn lame.

As of late Friday afternoon, 2016: Obama's America had grossed $700,000 from 1,090 theaters. That compared with $300,000 for the new big-budget, Sylvester Stallone action flick The Expendables 2, which is playing in 3,355 theaters, Deadline Hollywood reports. Where is he getting his numbers from? Expendables 2 did over $2M at the box office Thursday. 2016 did $226K on Thursday. The revenue per theater ($1,335) was pretty good. If it was $300K in 3,355 theaters on Friday, then that's a per theater gross of under $100, which is terrible.

I read that by Sunday Expendables 2 will win the weekend as there will not be the same volume of organized bus trips , etc. for “2016” as there were Friday. We will see.
Is there much to gain by seeing the movie, if one already is convinced BHO is the worst President ever? Have listened to Rush, Sean & Levin all these years. I would think seeing the film would not be enjoyable considering travelling time, film’s subject .

DSouza: When [Michael Moore] released Fahrenheit 9/11 in 2004 ahead of the election, it sparked intense debate. I learned some lessons from Michael Moore, and hopefully he might learn some lessons from me about handling facts.

Went to see it last night, it was amazing how quiet the theater was, at the end not a word....wonder if people were letting it sink in. It was good, for me there wasn’t new info, but D’Souza maps it out really well. For people who maybe have been feeling things were not right and that they were unsure of Obama, this is a real eye opener. I bet there are many many very stunned people right now who have been awoken for the first time. Wonder if search engines are seeing higher searches on Davis and ayers? Sure wish that video that the L.A. Times has been sitting on would appear. That would nail the door shut.

Buses spotted at anti-Obama movie, say Latimese, Nytimese, and ABCNNBCBS employees! Box office numbers suspect . . . .
Mean while.. nary a mention of buses in front-page stories about The One..
"Thousands of Obama supporters from throughout the region gathered with a mere two hours' notice that "The One" would be there. . . ."
Photo of parking lot at a typical gathering.

My husband and I went yesterday at the 1:45 showing. I was amazed to see the theater was packed with mostly Senior Citizens. With that kind of showing of Seniors, I now know they ARE NOT FOR OBAMA. I wonder if the later showings had younger people?
