Technically, you would be correct in that a belief in Christ and the acceptance of His salvation is necessary but we don’t know all the particulars about the woman’s life to know if she was or wasn’t a Christian.(The secular media loves the notion of a “good person” who was “good” only out herself, not because of any religious belief)

The other thing to remember is that God is sovereign judge and if she is to be Saved...he’ll save her from the pit. Remember what the Bible says...”He is not willing that man should perish, but have everlasting life!”

Thank you for your answer. The assumption in my question was that she wasn't a Christian as it regards whether she would achieve salvation due to her exceptional good works without acceptance of Christ as her personal savior. Your answer: "God is sovereign judge and if she is to be Saved...he’ll save her from the pit." to me, implies that God can make exceptions.
