I agree with all you say.

However that does not preclude them from being set up to be murdered by the soetoro enemy any more or less than it does for their male counterparts.

War with Islam.

The muzzies are insuring that it’s not an “if,” but a “when.”

Sad, but I’m afraid it’s true.

So, with demo-idiot leadership, we’ll lose.

With repulsican leadership....we still might lose.

What a world.

"You think male troops could have done that in that culture, where culturally, 50% of the population was off limits to being searched or interrogated by men?"

True from a standpoint of COIN but for a side that wants to be victorious by establishing their will, pure unmitigated bull feces.

Men can't interrogate females over there, who the hell cares. The fact is Afghan nationals do not respect us because we are too soft. So much disinformation over there it's not even funny. This strategy does not work, period. It is down right embarrassing how these Afghan fools are draining the resources of this country all because you think that type of submission works.

PC has nothing to do with it. The goal for both the Obama and the Bush administrations has been to train the Afghans to take care of their own security. You don’t do that without arming them. But it’s clear that a significant minority of those Afghans are untrustworthy and are turning the weapons on our troops. So then the only rational alternative is to cut our losses, get the hell out, and let the Afghans sink or swim on their own. I wish I could say that Romney would pursue a course like that but the sad fact is that a President Romney will continue down the same rathole that Obama’s taken us.

Last week, in a move the Obama administration would undoubtedly like their useful idiot buddies in the media to ignore as much as possible, a long-standing order was reversed: U.S. troops are now required to carry loaded weapons at all times while on base.

It's time for members of the press to grow up... get real. Walk into the world and open your friggin eyes. When most of us think of members of the press as Obama's useful idiot buddies in the media it's not a good sign. Are you there New York Times? Are you there LA Times? Hello... Anyone home? Your credibility and ability to stay in business are on the line. The country needs you to start acting like journalists and not like stenographers for dem PR firms bigs..

Btw, please explain how we could let some goat herders get close enough to launch an attack, after 10 years of supposibly war, on one of the largest staging FOBs in Afghan that sent a loud message to the Joint Chief, lol?

We don’t even want to aggressively secure the perimeter because the powers that be fear collateral damage. We are just babysitters swatting mosquitoes over there, pathetic.

They have always been there. I go back to 1968 and 1969. Different circumstances, but the same b.s.

Sorry to disagree, but it is pretty common sense that even in a combat zone, on a base, personal issue weapons need to be unloaded, except by those on guard duty, prisoner control, and other such tasks. If things are really testy, then officers, and some senior NCO’s, can carry loaded sidearms.

Why? Because the vast amount of activities on a military base are either “personal maintenance”, like sleeping, showering and eating; equipment construction, maintenance and repair; or office/administrative. In all of these things, lugging a weapon around with you is either a nuisance or a safety hazard.

So the logical thing to do is for some personnel to have their weapons and ammo in a nearby locker; other personnel to carry their unloaded weapons, with ammo nearby; and a limited number of personnel, especially on the perimeter, with loaded weapons.

I’ll add that accidents and safety are a big priority on base, because they result in a lot of injuries and some fatalities. The accidental discharge of a firearm on post will get somebody in a lot of trouble.

For safety, for example, a properly arranged motor pool is designed to have POL in one area, paint in another, compressed gases and tire inflation in another, solvent tanks in another, etc., because if one ignites or explodes, they don’t want it taking the others as well, turning a fire into a disaster. Just the tip of the iceberg of their safety regs, all of which were learned the hard way.

And, I might add, soldiers who go to a motor pool often have to clear and check their guns at the door, do their business, then pick them up on the way out.

NOW, THIS BEING SAID, the problem with “green on blue” is not one of p.c., but that our soldiers are not properly screening the Afghans.

And I am rather amazed that the numerous psychological tricks that can be used to tell if someone is a rat are not being used.

A lot of it is common sense, giving them a situation where they think they can betray you and maybe others, and make good their escape, but they actually cannot. Like loading a gun in front of them with two real bullets and the rest dummies, then firing it twice and handing it to them.

Importantly, they also don’t know they are being covered by a sniper, and if they do try to betray you, it is the last thing they do.

This is not a game where they can be captured. If they try to kill you, they must be killed, or else that trick can no longer be used. In the report, it is noted solely by saying that they were killed in a “training accident”, when they “mishandled a loaded weapon”.

In Iraq it was a real no no if you did not have your weapon on your person. At night it was at arms length from my bunk.

They certainly have the blood of our troops on their hands for aiding and abetting the enemy with their insane PC policy. They and any others that Obama planted in the Pentagon who put our troops in harm's way.

How much more of this news can we take?!!!

Three more of ours sacrificed.

you post:

“Obama’s policy on the carrying of arms by our military has caused over 100 deaths. This is the truth”

only a tiny part of it.

Where have “y’all” been?

Right out of the shute as pres, in the springof 2009, this TIC - traitor in chief - issued new ROE (Rules of Engagement that gave the advatage to his firends, the Taliban.

The Taliban get first shot - can’t shoot until you see a gun, no matter how close they ge and no matter that you KNOW they are tallie.

Often DENIED air cover when ambushed, pinned down and getting killed becsuse “there MIGHT be civilian in the hills somewhere”

they GAVE- GIFTED - hard won/hard sacrified fire bases back to the Talies - complete WTIH ammo, rockets, misslies etc - just pulled our troops out and gave them to the tallies -who bragged they’d used the ammo to kill our soldiers - and they did.

In 2009, due to the TIC’s new ROE, the number of our KIA’s DOUBLED from the previous highest year. in 2010, they TRIPLED. In 2011 - almost quadrupled...and the media is MUM- ant the American people, including most on FR, have been too busy watching Idol, etc, to inform themselves. (Flame away. For the past 4 years, I have posted and posted info, charts, clips - and lucky to get a handful of Freepers who gave a rats rump - but post a link with “O.J.” or “Jessica” os some such - and the posts remarks are off and running.

ONCE again, here’s a couple clips for the one or two of you who might care to know a tiny bit of what this TIC has done to our troops -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WamBeYQeRvE

and below - a clip about the small platoon of Sky Soldiers that pickaxed that firebase out of the mt top - and spent 15 MONTHS in - lost many brothers, were in over 1,000 firefigths - UN HEARD of - only to see their TIC hand it back as a gift to the enemy - along with plenty of munitions to use on our troops

This is a small clip for the documentary on our troops who fought and bled on that fire base “RESTREPO” - only to see it gifted to the enemy - the movie is availbele on Nat Geo., Netflix and on DVD - should anyone give a damn

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8YudXNtmoA

below: just ONE example of our troops underfire being denied air cover - but this time, they had a photographer with them- so it got documented...

“WE pinned down”

Here’s a platoon, pinned down, 4 dead, the rest soon will be - and would ‘ve been were in not for a soldier who disobeyd orders and took his men down to rescue them - they were DENIED air cover - duto the TIC’s ROE -

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2009/09/08/75036/were-pinned-down-4-us-marines.html

The above clips are just the tip of the iceburg of what this TIC has done to our troops - and who is standing up for them?

Don’t bother replying to my post - I wouldn’t want to disturb any of you...

I am well aware of what you posted. Thank you very much for posting the list of crimes against our military. The list is long and it is real. This administration does not give one good damn about the loss of lives so long as there is no political downside for him. He is evil.

Thank you again.

NEW YORK (WLS) - It’s very possible that the 2,000th U.S. service member to die in the war in Afghanistan did so at the hands of an Afghan soldier.

The New York Times reports that the death toll of American forces reached 2,000 late last week at a time when “insider” attacks were taking the lives of U.S. soldiers.

According to the Times analysis, over half of the U.S. fatalities in Afghanistan occurred during the past 27 months. That’s the period that President Obama ordered troop levels bolstered from 67,000 to 100,000 to combat a resurgent Taliban.
