the Forest Service is deviating from its congressional mandate for multiple use. The entire process is a farce. It's clear the Forest Service doesn't want the public in the forest.

It's clear the Forest Service doesn't want the public in the forest. That is the gospel truth. The USFS started closing roads in the Malheur and Ochoco National Forests in Eastern Oregon 30 or so years ago, I'd bet they've been doing it in all the western states.

It’s not that they don’t want the public in the forest, it’s that they don’t want anyone but hikers who are willing to hike miles and miles and miles to get into the wilderness to enjoy it.
