Dying is the best thing Bill Ruger ever did for his company.
LOL!!
Funny, Front Sight sent email after email, and called saying that Ruger could not make enough pistols to allow them to fulfill their numbers owed to customers, but they took our money anyway. Waiting 9 months now. Guess Ruger was able to produce the guns, just need to have Front Sight deliver them.
I agree that well designed and manufactured revolvers are inherently more reliable shot for shot, but revolvers do fail. I have experienced a damaged forcing cone and a broken ejector rod in duty range qualification/practice. Both malfunctions disabled the respective revolvers 100%.
Although I have experienced malfunctions with auto-loading pistols, I have never experienced a 100% disabling malfunction in duty range qualification/practice.
BTW, I have always carried S&W or Ruger as duty sidearms.
I have owned a couple Ruger Security-Six revolvers and a P-95 pistol. All were solid, reliable sidearms. I never felt bad when strapping a Ruger on my hip.
