Stunning new footage of six police officers gunning down a Michigan man in an intense, five-second burst of 46 shots was made public Friday, setting off fierce reaction from members of a community still grappling with the incident.
"I'm stunned that six human beings would stand in front of one human being and fire 46 shots," victim Milton Halls mother, Jewel, told CNN.

Suicide by police. He knew what beast he was throwing himself into the jaws of.
Though it does sound like the taser was tailor made for this kind of situation, if for any.
If the threat of lethal force is not instantly neutralized five seconds can seem like an eternity.
On full auto 7 rounds per cop is not unreasonable.

Another police brutality Springsteen song about this..
My father in law was a policeman. He told me about the time he tried to shoot a knife out of a guy’s hand.
“It don’t work like in the movies.”
It should be pointed out to the “TAZER BAD TAZER BAD BAN IT NOW BAN IT NOW” crowd that this is the other alternative to the Tazer. Which do they prefer?
Not watching. This stuff shouldn’t be on line
Probably best to not frighten them.
Watch? Why would I want to watch another human being losing their life? I don’t care who he is or what he did, seeing someone die is not entertainment.
This is from Chicago:
Police sergeant shoots knife-wielding driver after Loop accident
If one shot had been fired and killed him, would the people be as worked up?
Although I cannot comment on this particular situation, I do know that cope are supposed to be trained to avoid pulling out their guns, if possible.
However, once the decision has been made to pull out the gun, you either unquestionably surrender or you risk being shot.
I agree that 46 bullets seem like a lot, but each cop is running under the assumption that the other cops may not be firing their guns. There’s also the reality that some peeps still fire their guns despite having been shot 20 times.
"Assaultive"?? I just love cop-speak. They more often-than-not end up tripping over their tongues.
And so the debate goes back and forth, and the fact that tasers rarely kill ends up being a temptation to deploy them in trivial cases where there is little or no true danger to police personnel. But still. Why did this group have none, or not wish to try them, for this clearly irrationally combative nut. That’s why the taser was invented, to bring a humane end to such horrible face offs.
We ought to ask ourselves how, in a life-or-death situation, they might have orchestrated a “cleaner” kill, one less likely to offend public sensibilities.
At least the guy wasn’t handcuffed in the back of a police car when he was shot, like that guy in Arkansas.

We have an English word that describes what was done to this man - SLAUGHTER!
I carried a badge for over 30 years; this was uncalled for, was incompetently handled, and verges on murder.
