WYTHEVILLE, Va. --
Vice President Joe Biden, speaking in Wytheville, Va., this hour, created a stir earlier in the day at a campaign speech in Danville.
Biden told the crowd, many of them African Americans, that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s policies would enable the banking and financial sectors to “put you all back in chains.”
The remark came roughly two-thirds of the way through the 30-minute speech.
"Romney wants to let the — he said in the first hundred days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules, unchain Wall Street,” Biden said. “They’re going to put you all back in chains.”
The vice president also appeared to be confused about his whereabouts, referring to winning in North Carolina.

I believe this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a candidate for national office or even a Vice President speaking in or visiting Wytheville. I’m SURE he stopped by and got a hotdog at Skeeter’s on Main St(it’s a right of passage for visiting politicians - they DO have awesome hotdogs, BTW).
Senate candidates usually find the time to go through there, but never from an office that high. Guess they see VA as a total must win(I’m saddened/SHAMED that it’s even close). Especially given how the dem presidential candidates normally lose all of the counties in our area by 25-40 points. This is what you call big time trolling for votes. This is equivalent to Paul Ryan visiting the inner city areas of Richmond. If we hear of 0bama visiting Carroll or Grayson Counties, we truly have entered the campaign bizzaro world!! I’m sure Roanoke will be as close as 0bama gets to those places!
