The absence of my school, Hillsdale College, is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe they didn’t count Hillsdale because we don’t take any local, state, or federal government aid.

And one of the most liberal is about 50 miles away in Ann Arbor.

I agree. And I suspect the same thing happened to Christendom College, which I believe should be on the list as well. Like Hillsdale, Christendom does not accept any government money.

Post #9 may have some merit. Hillsdale College never fails to make the list published by Young American's Foundation which you can still access by typing "Best colleges for conservatives" in their search box.

The YAF list put more emphasis on faculty, philosophy and curriculum of the institution whereas this list puts more emphasis on the political leanings of the student body.

Most likely, this is the main reason why the college lists are different, although there are some similarities as well.
