SARASOTA, FL. - Sarasota Police are investigating the shooting death of a Sarasota man.
27-year-old Christian Robinson of Sarasota was shot around 2 a.m. Tuesday inside a home on the 1400 block of 21st Street.
According to police, Robinson entered the home on 21 Street uninvited, and began to wave a gun at three occupants of the home and telling them to get out of the house.
One of the occupants of the home, 22-year-old Frank Lee Green, says he pulled a handgun from his pocket and shot Robinson.

Oh so because the intruder was black he was just an uninvited guest in the home at 2am? WTF?? Let’s try and sugar-coat this as much as possible. Also why did the occupant of the house need to show his Conceal and Carry permit? You don’t need one to have a gun in your home.
I’m betting this story would have had a much different outcome if we loved in country where we didn’t have the 2nd Amendment.
Someone should show this story to Obama and tell him to shove his anti-gun views up his ass.
So in today’s PC lingo, “breaking in” is now “entering a home uninvited”, good to know, but fortunately it gets the same results - you get shot!.
Another one of Obama’s would-be sons gone bad?
This is Florida. Since it’s a good shoot, the shooter will be protected from a law suit.
Tort reform? ... How about judge reform. Got guillotine?
Overall, Sarasota is a great place to live or visit, a beautiful city in a beautiful waterfront area. It's too bad that it also has it's "dark" side along with all the rest of our cities.
BANG!
Skittle-dee-dee!
No iced tea for you!
Is that watermelon juice on your shirt or are you bleeding? ;^)
Looks that way doesn't it?
But not to worry, if God forbid Ocommy is re-elected and gets his way with our fraidy-cat pubby Congress that kind of thing will stop because no one will have a gun to kill people with. Yeah, the UK's total ban on civilian owned handguns has worked out just fine and dandy, right? Don't let the FACT that there is now more gun crime in the UK than before the total handgun ban was enacted put a damper on your enthusiasm old chaps. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1440764.stm) The Brit anti-gun fanatics got their law and that's what really matters to them, the innocent victims of their law be damned.
Ocommy has soft pedaled the gun issue in his 1st term, but he won't have to worry about being re-elected if he gets another term so his anti-2nd Amendment agenda will come out in the open with a vengeance. If he then gets the laws he wants passed all of us gun owners will become criminals overnight unless we turn 'em in on demand. Collecting "illegal" guns from those of us who don't intend to turn 'em in might turn out to be a far more difficult and dangerous job than Ocommy expects.
Did the people know each other?
Were drugs involved?
Who were the other people present besides the shooter?
Your social life may be more interesting than mine, however, whenever I see "2:00AM," "4 People," and all in a rather "bad neighborhood," I wouldn't take sides until the coppers sort it out. Notice also "uninvited," Not "Broke in."
Caveat lector.
After a review of the thread, I still fail to see anything in my replies that I should apologize for. However, if you will kindly point out where I violated your apparently highly refined standard for acceptable comments I will apologize anyway.
Is that satisfactory, or should I just go ahead and apologize here and now for any and all posting faux pas that I may have committed since I came into this world uninvited?
On this one, it just might be, maybe, perhaps, a good idea to let thee dust settle a bit ... then we make up our minds.
BTW, who asked you for an apology? Not I.
Sarasota County court records show 30 criminal cases filed against Robinson since 2001, mostly on drug possession charges and for repeated arrests for driving with a suspended license.
The shooter has a FL concealed weapon permit, they don't hand those out to people who have a criminal record or even a record of run-ins with the law at any level. OTOH the intruder has the record shown above. It appears to me as though the very dissimilar records of shooter and shootee give us a rather succinct clue as to which of the 2 parties is the most likely to be the bad guy in that incident. But that's only my personal view on the matter, and of course your perception of the incident is as valid as mine since neither of us were there to witness it.
I realize that you didn't ask for an apology, and in truth my offer of same wasn't serious, so lets agree to drop the matter and move on to another thread that no doubt needs our thoughtful and insightful comments.
It seems that Christian Robinson was turning his life around, and was an aspiring rap artist, who also was taking tutoring sessions in advanced nuclear physics. On his way home from a Bible studies session, he was dropping off a late night snack to a disabled veteran, when he heard an altercation in the home of the shooter. Thinking that a child, or pet, was in danger, he rushed in with his small caliber pistol in a vain attempt to quell the domestic violence/and or cruelty to animals.
His actions were misunderstood. But I am sending you a Trayvon Copyright Hoodie for your well-reasoned post. As far as the victim's "police record" goes, did I not already tell you he was misunderstood? He will be missed by the mothers of his children and the little ones, of course. Stay tuned for civil suit to follow.
Now I want the police records of all those present and some small explanation of what they were doing "visiting" at this hour of the morning. Can't all you people in Sarasota just get along?
A look at the other side of this case.
