I think a better title would be: Man with gun shot after threatening home occupants

Oh so because the intruder was black he was just an uninvited guest in the home at 2am? WTF?? Let’s try and sugar-coat this as much as possible. Also why did the occupant of the house need to show his Conceal and Carry permit? You don’t need one to have a gun in your home.
I’m betting this story would have had a much different outcome if we loved in country where we didn’t have the 2nd Amendment.
Someone should show this story to Obama and tell him to shove his anti-gun views up his ass.

So in today’s PC lingo, “breaking in” is now “entering a home uninvited”, good to know, but fortunately it gets the same results - you get shot!.

He won't be robbing anymore homes. He was probably wearing a hoodie and eating skittles.

I moved from Sarasota several years ago, and according to the address given in the article I recognize that neighborhood where the shooting took place. Unless there has been a significant change for the better in that neighborhood it's not an area where you would want to be after dark. Not long ago I read a report on the Sarasota newspaper website about two Brit tourists who where robbed and killed in that same general area, so it appears that nothing has changed except maybe for the worse.
Overall, Sarasota is a great place to live or visit, a beautiful city in a beautiful waterfront area. It's too bad that it also has it's "dark" side along with all the rest of our cities.
