I was there. The Legislature was 80% RAT and was about to pass a much more restrictive ban over his veto so he extended the harmless flash hider/bayonet lug ban and let them think it was a huge bipartisan victory for safety.

People are speculating on what obama MIGHT do, how about look at what mittens has already done. The best predictor of future actions is past performance.
As noted above, congress is now restraining obama, won’t happen with romney.
