Where on Earth did you get the idea that most Freepers think Romney is a great candidate? If you followed FR during the Republican primaries, you would see overwhelmingly that Romney was almost nobody's favorite here.
I agree that Romney is not the right candidate for this moment in history, and he was certainly not my choice for the Republican nominee.
But it appears now that he IS the Republican candidate this time around. Being willing to vote for him now to get rid of Obama, and even support Romney's candidacy with money, is seen as the better of the two options.
Given the alternative of a lame-duck Obama with four more years to "transform" our beloved nation, supporting Romney is the only responsible choice. But that doesn't mean that most Freepers like it. I know I don't.

Voting for I can see. But giving money to a liberal is not a good idea. He said that Chick-Fil-A is not part of his campaign. So if you send him money than you agree with this sentiment and other beliefs he has like pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage and Obamacare since he loves Romneycare. Vote for him if you will but people who send money are showing treason to America.
