After performing for only 45 minutes, the pop star incurred the wrath of concertgoers who gathered in front of the Paris concert venue to demand their money back.
French fans took Madonnas Express Yourself lyrics seriously on Thursday night when they booed and expressed anger at the singer for cutting her show at famed Paris concert hall lOlympia short after around just 45 minutes. After Madonna left the stage, fans remained in their seats booing and yelling insults like salope, the French word for slut. PHOTOS: Madonna's Iconic Career and Life in Pictures Madonna took the stage around 10:15 p.m. and finished around 11 p.m. The concert venue was filled mostly with big Madonna fans since the tickets for the show were available only to members of her official fan club before being released for sale to the general public. The concert was broadcast live via YouTube. The supplementary concert was added to the singers tour just last week and was sold out after just a few hours, with Material Girl devotees paying from 80 to more than 280 euros for the limited seats. Hundreds of fans gathered outside several hours before the show to fill the Olympias 2,700 seats and many slept on the streets overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. After the show, many of them gathered in the streets in front of the theater and yelled remboursez! remboursez! which means give us our money back! in French.
Her loyal fans aren't the only ones angry at the pop star. A July 14 concert at the Stade de France incurred the wrath of French right-wing politician Marine Le Pen, who is pressing charges after Madonna screened a video featuring a photo of Le Pens face with a swastika superimposed on it.

And she didn't perform for them so they called her a slut. Or maybe they called her a slut as a way of asking her for an encore. Maybe they thought it would be taken as a compliment.
LOL!!! Now that’s funny. You gotta know you’re trashy as all get out if the fruity French call you a slut.
Madonna is disgusting I dont know why anyone would pay 5 cents to hear her “sing.” Calling her a “slut” is being too kind though, Madonna probably was flattered
French audiences are tough!
Madonna is trash and a salope, and presents a disgraceful image of America with her vulgar shows mixed with her phoney far left politics and mega millionaire lifestyle.
There is a political component to this as well. Madonna flashed pictures of National Front President, Marine le Pen, with swastikas flashing on her face. Madame Le Pen is suing Madonna.
I attended a Ray Charles concert at Palais Omnisports in Bercy and a similar thing happened. Ray had a few too many, and was absolutely terrible, leaving the stage after only 40 minutes. Tickets were outrageously overpriced, and people had come long distances to see him. They were furious and screamed for their money back.
Isn’t she 60-something? After 45 mins she was probably exhausted and needed a nap.

What were they expecting when they bought tickets?
And this from the NY Daily News:
Madonna defends use of Nazi iconography in concert: ‘Music should be about ideas, right?’

Even after angering an entire nation following a recent performance in France and being threatened with a potential lawsuit for her uncouth behavior, Madonna is standing firmly by her art.
The Material Girl is defending her use of a swastika superimposed onto the face of France’s National Front leader Marine Le Pen in a video during her July 14 concert in Paris.
Madonna told a Brazilian television station that the Nazi symbol - despite its controvery - represents her message about the intolerance that we human beings have for one another, according to the BBC.
The controversial symbol was included in a video that played in the background during her performance of the song Nobody Knows Me.
The singer said that all images in the video were chosen purposefully.
There seems to be a growing intolerance around the world. In Greece, France, everywhere people are trying to kick out all the immigrants, make people cover up and not show what their religious affiliation is, she said, via the BBC.
Madonna superimposed a swastika on the forehead of France’s National Front leader Marine Le Pen in a video montage she used during her show.
Im calling attention to the intolerance and asking people to pay attention, to wake up to see how we are just creating more chaos in the world, she added.
Frances National Front spokesman Alain Vizier told the AP earlier this month that the party was planning on filing a complaint against the singer in the French court for her insults.
To anyone who’s actually noticed, Maddona’s schtick is to shock and offend. This is ending precisely the way it was meant to play out, and both sides know the script.
“You gotta know youre trashy as all get out if the fruity French call you a slut.”
I’m sure Sandra Fluke and those fine “ladies” from The View will be leaping to her defense. Mon Dieu! Elle est une putain!
There were more people who were dragged there and thankful that madonna started late and left early. But you will never hear about all of those.
Next up GaGa
Sounds like she needs to try doing her next concert in Tahrir Square, and see how her message of tolerance works out there.
She used to be a smart girl. I recall one interview with her way back in her peak, and I was pretty amazed by how candid she was about the whole showbiz thing. She said she planned to push the limits for a few years, make a ton of money, and live happily thereafter.
Yep, is that supposed to be an insult or what?
Hard to tell. Besides, I think its oretty accurate
Madonna’s next concert is in Nice, on the Riviera.
Nice also happens to be in the heart of Marine Le Pen territory. If Madonna pulls that swastika stuff on MLP in Nice, it will create huge problems.
The unconcious irony of leftists never ceases to amaze me.
Somewhere, Warren Beatty is smiling.
