Last night, I noted how NBC News was swimming against historical trends in pushing a poll with a deeply partisan skew in its sample. The poll, produced in conjunction with The Wall Street Journal, had a D+11 sample, i.e. 46% of the sample identified as Democrat, 35% identified as Republican. In 2008, a very big year for Democrats, the electorate was D+7, 39% Democrat, 32% Republican. In fact, you have to go back nearly thirty years to find an election with such a partisan skew.
This morning, on MSNBC's Morning Joe, NBC political director Chuck Todd admitted their poll had a skewed sample (around 3:50 mark) and stated that, if this poll were weighted similarly to their last poll, the race would have been unchanged, instead of Obama extending his lead over Romney to 6 points. (Of course, this invites the question as to why they didn't use the same weighting in this sample.)

Translation: We’re tired of people finding out we’re lying all the time.
Gee, I never would have figured that out if he hadn’t told me.
LOL.
C'mon, now... does that question really need asking? Don't we already know the answer?
Maybe we should get a NBC/ABC poll conducted by F. Chuck Todd & Brian Ross.
Sometimes I go to YouTube and watch clips of news program back in the 50s and early 60s just to see how it looked when news agencies weren’t full of morons.
NBC:.."even though we cheated, we still like our results"
Probably giving MSNBC too much credit with these numbers, but the strategy here is:
1000 people see the poll showing O extending his lead.
10 people see the admission that the poll was skewed.
Net gain: 990 people still think O has extended his lead. To them, it’s worth it.
They do it all the time with every biased story and lie they tell.
I know it is largely driven by propaganda, but how intellectually dishonest can these people be?
Good news is they know people are watching and pools of “adults” instead of “likely voters” which are heavily tilted toward the Dem side will be called out. Maybe we're making progress! Go Breidbard and MRC!
You don’t seriously think that as many as 1,000 people actually watch MSNBC, do you?
:-P
I think they’d have collective aneurysms if they accomplished anything in a honest manner.
