DNC Plans To Turn Small Business Attack Tables On Romney
TPM Livewire ^ | July 24, 2012 | Evan McMorris-Santoro

On Wednesday, the Democratic National Committee plans to join the Obama campaign with a stepped up response to the “you didn’t build that” attacks on the president by Mitt Romney and the GOP.

DNC spokesperson Brad Woodhouse emailed a broad outline of the Democraic pushback plan to reporters late Tuesday night, which the party says will include on-the-ground events in states and a national conference call targeting what the DNC called Romney’s “failed record and failed policies” on small business “as well as President Obama’s record as a consistent advocate for small businesses.”

Based on the outline, many of the Democratic attacks will focus on Romney’s time as governor of Massachusetts as well as his time at Bain Capital.

Now there's something original we haven't heard before...

I guess they'll recycle the lies about so-called outsourcing, deliberately trying to bankrupt companies, etc. rather than the actual record of huge job creation that has resulted in many more people being employed.

These guys have nothing to run on. It would be humorous if there was not so much on the line.

So if you pour enough buttermilk ranch dressing on a runny dog turd, it tastes like barbeque chicken wings?

The Dems are being childish -- whatever Romney says about Obama, they just turn around and say it about Romney. "Obama doesn't help small business???? Ha! Romney doesn't help small business!!"

In this vein, NPR has been really digging into Romney's past. It turns out Mitt Romney is a man of mystery! So many hidden records! So many missing records! Tax forms and more than tax forms -- with so many missing records, you really have to wonder what a presidential candidate might be hiding, huh?

But don't worry! This is why they invented investigative journalism! Reporters will be thoroughly vetting this fellow, making sure that all our questions are answered well before the election comes along!

Romney needs to keep on doing what he is doing. Talking about jobs, the economy and things that Americans care about. Obama and his ‘RATS need to keep on doing what they’ve been doing. Throwing mud at Romney while whining that Romney is attacking THEM! LOL! It’s been entertaining so far.

Barry, you, like all socialists and communists, are an economic retard. I use this term deliberately to indicate that your problem is inherent, constituent, not merely acquired and, so, not subject to remediation. Sometimes it is, but those who do make the transformation, do so long before your age. The fact that you're still persisting in the delusion is evidence that, assuming you are a wunderkind, you are still, and forever will be, a kind. Stand aside, child, so that an adult, not even the best adult we would have wished for the job, can start to reverse the complete mess you've made of our nation. You are now persona non grata. Take a hike into oblivion.

NBC News Anchor: “According to Chuck Todd, our polling expert here at NBC, these new ads have moved undecideds into the Obama column and driven up Romney’s negativity quotient . . . . Oh, wait, they haven’t started running the ads yet.”

Well, they get tired of their Barbie dolls and Playdoh and Silly Putty. It gives them something to do.

What the Dems do not get is that the “You Didn’t Build That” event became two things.

1) A viral video.

2) An internet meme.

That means they became an organic force that is equal to 12,000 political ads running 24/7 for 3 months straight as thousands of people created everything from response videos to satirical images THAT WERE PASSED AROUND TO MILLIONS OF OTHERS.

Holding some stupid event in nowhere town for some press flunkies isn’t going to remotely equal that.

How quaint! Good luck with all that, you silly clowns! All you will do is draw attention to the fact that you're just a bunch of socialists with respect to business economics...

The thing about the "You didn't build that" that I don't remember hearing anyone discuss is that when he said, "Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that." the word "that" doesn't match "roads and bridges." He should have used "them."

This shows either that his grammar is not great (there's good evidence of this when he's not using the teleprompter) or he really didn't mean what his hacks are claiming he meant.

Exactly right. An ABC article yesterday omitted the most damning quote and only mentioned (and defended) the "Teacher helped you along the way" B.S.

Good luck with that, Barry! One of my co-workers stopped by a DC-area shopping center yesterday, and found only ONE business still open there.

"Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values," the mayor said in a statement when asked about Moreno's decision.

Well PRAISE GOD FOR THAT!!!

I will make it a habit to eat at Chick Fil A. I will also make it a point never to set foot in Chicago.

Chick-Fil-A values are MY VALUES. Chicago doesn't deserve a Chick-Fil-A.
