Elton John praises George W. Bush and ‘conservative American politicians’ [VIDEO]

Elton John praised former President George W. Bush and “conservative American politicians” for pledging billions of dollars to “save the lives of Africans with HIV.” He also credited hip-hop artist Jay-Z with starting a “domino effect” in the African-American community to support gay marriage.

“We’ve seen George W. Bush and conservative American politicians pledge tens of billions to save the lives of Africans with HIV. Think of all the love. Think of where we’d be without it, nowhere, that’s where. We’d be nowhere at all,” John said at the International AIDS conference in Washington on Monday.

“Thanks to all this compassion, thanks to all this love, more than 8 million people are on treatment. Thanks to people who have chosen to care and to act, we can see an end to this epidemic on the horizon.”

He attended Rush’s wedding. He’s an onion of contradictions.

Why is he thanking Bush, or any politician?

That largesse comes out of the pockets of BROKE American taxpayers.

Y’all do realize that America by any definition, is flat broke, right?

We will see an end to this epidemic when people decide to stay out of the poop chute.

Elton John is quite right about how many people have been helped by Pres. Bush's initiative. By objective measures over a million lives have been saved.

Uncommon Knowledge: George W. Bush

Pres. Bush speaks about it in that excellent interview.

He attended Rush’s wedding.

I thought he was there as an entertainer. I'm sure he was free to mingle if he chose to, but was he a guest?

“He attended Rush’s wedding. He’s an onion of contradictions.”

Rush PAID him $1,000,000 to perform at his wedding.

He performed at Rush’s wedding. By all accounts, he and Rush got along quite well.

Reggie Dwight’s a talented, decent guy. His personal life is between he and his maker, and needs to remain there.

Yes, it is the only epidemic that would stop if people would practice moral behavior......it is wide spread in Africa because the witch doctors tell the men to have relations with virgins and that will cure them of “the thin disease”.....so they rape children.....as for others treating sex as a recreational sport can get one into all sorts of trouble......

Maybe the “O” administration can start a “just say no to sex” campaign.....

The Daily Caller appears to be turning into a homo-promo rag. This is one of a series of articles about how conservatives are now supporting gay marriage.

Elton John is telling the truth. Richard Gere also knows....some of the most liberal show biz types are fully aware of how generous we are.

Thanks to all this compassion...
Compassion?

It may or may not have been good policy for the USA.

It may or may not have been in keeping with the oath of office that GWB took.

It may or may not have been a good political move for the Republican Party.

But one thing it definitely was NOT was "compassion".

It is NOT compassion when I take money from you and give it to someone else. It may or may not be JUSTIFIABLE. But it's definitely NOT "compassion".

You could be right.

The DC is good on a range of economic issues but Tucker Carlson has a strong libertarian streak.

I'll be watching to see if you're right about the gay themes.
