Same initial reaction here. Something doesn't sound right.

hmmmmm. Not much damage based on the woman's statement to police:
"The men also reportedly used a knife to cut the gay slurs into her skin and then doused her home with gasoline to start the blaze."

That right there screams hoax.
Why would they bother scratching something into the skin of someone that they were going to burn up? Nobody would ever see it, so what could be the point?
Very little fire damage after ‘dousing the place with gas’?
No mention of her being burned. Wouldn't they have dumped the gas on her?
No mention of rape or severe beating, if fact, no mention of anything that she couldn't have done herself!
DOUSED her home with gasoline, and it only did $200 worth of damage???
