Think of a spork.
They will still be perfect for delivering U.S. Peace Delegations, surrender documents, and reparations to countries like Iran, Pakistan, and North Korea. They will certainly not be viewed as a threat and will therefore not be attacked.
also perfect to support corrupt retiring O-6s and above in the pentagon.

This ship is a perfect entry level command for today's crazed lesbo ship captains who wouldn't know a bowline from a brassiere, having use for neither.

It seems to me that people who should never be allowed to be in charge of anything are in charge of *everything,* and I dont just mean the rogues gallery of racist America-haters that the Kenyan Commie has appointed, or just the career bureaucrats who tighten the noose of tyranny about our necks a bit more every day, or even just the CEO of GE and other functionally insane corporations. How did we let those dysfunctional golems get so much power?

“They still have to get to an overseas coast in the first place.”
Yes, true, and that could be uncomfortable if there wasn’t enough time to wait for “fair winds and following seas.”
Still, it’s a transit, not a station.
Not that I think these things are any substitute for a battleship—or even an FF.
