If he’s so pacifistic, why doesn’t he decry how the Injuns wielded their archery and spears, and how they envied the thunder sticks rather than eschewing them?
It’s morals and reason that matter. A nut or a wicked person may want to use deadly things this way. (What if he had thrown a poison bomb in the theater rather than shooting? It ain’t just guns that can be misused.) Sane, decent people will not.
